摘要： Information recording medium glass substrate which is a molded article composed of an alkali metal-containing glass material having a composition including at least B, Al, alkali metals, Zn, and Si, and satisfying certain relational equations in molar proportions in terms of oxides thereof, has a low molding temperature, excellent durability, and a reduced number of surface defects. An information recording medium having such a glass substrate and a magnetic layer formed thereon has excellent low-temperature workability and excellent weathering resistance. The glass substrate is suitable for perpendicular magnetic recording because the glass composition suppresses alkali elution from the glass substrate and the glass substrate has substantially no surface-attached foreign matter having a height of about 10 nm or less and having SiO2 as a main component thereof.

摘要： A method of producing an indwelling needle assembly formed by assembling an inner needle having a point only at its tip, an inner needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a hollow outer needle through which the inner needle is insertable, an outer needle hub fixed to the base end of the outer needle, and an elastic seal member on the outer needle hub effecting sealing when the inner needle is withdrawn. The method involves: inserting the inner needle into the seal member to set the inner needle to an inserted state; applying, in the inserted state, lubricant to the outer peripheral surface of at least that portion of the inner needle which protrudes from the seal member; and axially reciprocating at least one time the inner needle relative to the seal member to cause the lubricant to penetrate the inside of the seal member.

摘要： A medical device comprises an indwelling needle assembly comprising an inner needle having a sharp needle tip at the end thereof and a hollow outer needle into which the inner needle is inserted and a suction device by which blood is sucked through the indwelling needle assembly in an indwelling state where the indwelling needle assembly is pierced into a living body and indwells there, wherein the suction device includes a suction power-controlling system which controls the suction power. Between the outer peripheral face of the inner needle and the inner peripheral face of the outer needle of this medical device, a space communicating with the suction device is formed along the longitudinal direction of the indwelling needle assembly and blood flows into this space. In this space, the suction power controlled by the suction power-controlling system is set lower by 5 mmHg or more than the atmospheric pressure.

摘要： An indwelling needle assembly has a hollow outer needle, an outer-needle hub fixed to the base end of the outer needle, an inner needle inserted into the outer needle, an inner-needle hub fixed to the base end of the inner needle, a tube connected to the base end (or a side section) of the outer-needle hub so that the inner cavity of the tube is communicated with the inner cavity of the outer needle, and a protector that, when the inner needle is removed from the outer needle, covers at least the point of the inner needle and disconnectably connected to the outer-needle hub. A finger hold is formed in a projecting manner on a protector cover of the protector, and the finger hold is pressed by a finger to move the outer needle in the direction of its tip relative to the inner needle. The finger hold is formed in a shape that, when the outer needle is moved in the direction of its tip relative to the inner needle, causes force applied in the direction in which the finger hold projects relative to the center axis of the outer needle to act on the finger hold.

The protective film is composed of amorphous carbon containing fluorine and nitrogen in a surface region, and a region deeper than 0.5 nm deep from the surface of the protective film is substantially free from the fluorine and nitrogen. The fluorine and nitrogen may be each added in an amount of 5 to 20 at. %. The present invention simultaneously accomplishes a reduction in film thickness, an improvement in durability and corrosion resistance, and an improvement of the bonding strength of the surface of the protective film to the lubricating film.

The step section forms a space between the opening and the front end opening of the branch flow path.
