摘要： A projectable or push-out type writing instrument cartridge, such as a projectable cartridge for a ball point pen, has a filler impregnated with an aqueous ink, a writing point at its one end, a device for feeding the ink to the writing point, and an end plug mounted in the other end of the cartridge. The plug has an air passage which satisfies a predetermined condition. Preferably, the end plug consists of an inner rod and an outer tube which receives the inner rod in such a manner that the air passage is formed between the rod and the tube. The cartridge is secured in the casing of the instrument, and is projectable to a writing position.

摘要： An image processing apparatus comprises: a processor to process image data of an orginial document; an image memory to store the image data; a single manual switch; a detector to detect the depression time of the manual switch; a selector to select whether all of the image data is stored or not in accordance with the depression time; and a discriminating circuit to discriminate whether the number of partner apparatuses to perform the transmission in the processor is one or plural. When one partner apparatus is designated, the image data is directly transmitted. When a plurality of partner apparatuses are designated, the image data is once stored into the image memory and thereafter, the image data in the memory is transmitted. Either the single copy mode or the multi copy mode is sequentially periodically selected in accordance with the depression time of the manual switch, i.e., copy start key. With this apparatus, either the image data of the original document or the image data in the memory is automatically selected and transmitted by the simple operating procedure.

摘要： A video receiving apparatus includes a receiving unit, a detecting unit, a determining unit, and a control unit. The receiving unit receives a video stream transmitted from a video distribution apparatus and to be reproduced by a video reproducing unit. The detecting unit detects an error occurrence position on the video stream in response to an error occurring during receiving of the video stream. The determining unit determines a reproduction start time based on the error occurrence position detected by the detecting unit and a position of a predetermined synchronization code in the video stream so that reproduction of the video stream is started before the error occurrence position. The control unit transmits a reproduction request including the determined reproduction start time to the video distribution apparatus.

摘要： A removable hard disk drive is detachable from a computer apparatus, and includes a storage medium for storing data from the computer apparatus and a communication interface with the computer apparatus. Upon reception of eject instruction issued by the computer apparatus, the removable hard disk drive writes contents cashed in a cache memory into a disk, and shifts to an ejectable state. Upon the completion of the shift to the ejectable state, the removable hard disk drive externally outputs an eject signal. A microprocessor which controls an eject mechanism executes removable hard disk cartridge eject operation in response to the eject signal.
