摘要: A wireless communication system for interconnecting an ad-hoc network and an IS network, and a wireless terminal and communication method therefor are disclosed. The communication method includes transmitting a discovery signal including terminal information of the wireless terminal to a radio network, receiving a response signal including information for network access from a base station or another wireless terminal, which has received the discovery signal, selecting an operation mode for access to a network through the base station or the other wireless terminal, based on the response signal, communicating with the base station and accessing the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a first mode and accessing a network, to which the other wireless terminal belongs, through a licensed frequency band of the IS network when the selected operation mode corresponds to a second mode. Accordingly, it is possible to support communication through an existing infrastructure and support communication of an ad-hoc network scheme, through use of a licensed frequency band assigned to the provider of an existing IS network.

摘要: A method for providing route guidance to a destination to which a vehicle is driven. When the vehicle enters a specific area, information about roads, points of interest, facilities, and other significant locations in driving directions from current location is displayed through a route guidance screen. A function for providing main direction guidance information displayed on a screen configured with road signs is implemented. When a driver selects one direction in a state in which guidance information about the driving directions is displayed, a navigation apparatus performs route guidance in the selected direction. If the vehicle reaches a corresponding position in the selected direction, the navigation apparatus senses a newly selected direction to continuously perform the route guidance. Accordingly, the driver can receive a fast route guidance service by selecting a direction of a destination through simple key manipulation without directly inputting a exact destination.

摘要: A touch screen display apparatus includes a first substrate including a pixel electrode and a lower sensor electrode, a second substrate facing the first substrate and including a common electrode and an upper sensor electrode facing the lower sensor electrode, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrates, a first alignment layer disposed on the pixel electrode and the common electrode, a second alignment layer disposed on the lower sensor electrode, and a third alignment layer disposed on the upper sensor electrode. The second or third alignment layers aligns the liquid crystal layer in a different direction from a direction the first alignment layer aligns the liquid crystal layer. When pressure is applied onto a point on the first or second substrate, a distance and a capacitance between the lower sensor electrode and the upper sensor electrode at the point are changed to detect a position of the point.
