Abstract: An electroluminescent display device includes a display panel having a display area and a non-display area. A planarization layer is over the non-display area. A bank is on the planarization layer. An organic layer and a cathode are on the bank. A trench pattern extends through the cathode and the organic layer. An adhesive layer and an encapsulation substrate are disposed over the cathode. The adhesive layer covers the trench pattern. The adhesive layer is effective to slow a rate of moisture penetration to a side surface of the non-display area, allowing for improvements in reliability and a reduction in bezel width.

Abstract: An electroluminescent display device comprises a display panel including an active area and a non-active area; a planarization layer extending to the non-active area of the display panel; a bank on the planarization layer that extends to the non-active area and includes a trench that exposes the planarization layer of the non-active area; an organic layer on the bank and separated by the trench; a cathode on a first organic layer in the inner direction area of the trench; and an adhesive layer and an encapsulation substrate over the cathode, wherein the adhesive layer may be in contact with a second organic layer in the outer direction area of the trench, and reliability can be improved and a bezel width can be reduced.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an organic light-emitting display device having a first flexible substrate; a second flexible substrate; a plurality of organic light-emitting pixels on the first flexible substrate and between the first flexible substrate and the second flexible substrate; an encapsulation unit covering the pixels; and an adhesive layer on the encapsulation unit. The Young's modulus of the adhesive layer is equal to or larger than a value so that the first flexible substrate is not deformed by bending stress when it is rolled up.

Abstract: A display device may prevent signal lines in a non-display area from being damaged by particles. The display device may include a first substrate including a display area and a non-display area, a first electrode in the display area over the first substrate, a light emitting layer over the first electrode, a second electrode over the light emitting layer, lines in the non-display area over the first substrate, organic patterns over the lines and spaced apart from one another, an adhesive layer over the organic patterns, and a second substrate over the adhesive layer. The light emitting layer and the second electrode are provided from the display area to the non-display area, and spaced distances among the organic patterns are shorter than a distance from an upper surface of the second electrode provided over the organic patterns to an upper surface of the adhesive layer.

Abstract: An electroluminescent display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes a display panel divided into a display area and a non-display area, a planarization layer and a bank extended to the non-display area of the display panel, an organic layer and a cathode disposed on the bank and extended to the non-display area of the display panel, a trench which is disposed in the non-display area outside the display area and from which the cathode, the organic layer, the bank and the planarization layer are removed; an under-cut structure which is disposed within the trench and composed of the bank and the planarization layer and in which the planarization layer retreats inwards from an end of the bank to generate an under-cut and an adhesive layer and an encapsulation substrate disposed on the cathode.
