Abstract: A display device can include a gate driver configured to drive gate lines of a panel; a data driver configured to drive data lines of the panel; a timing controller configured to control operations of the gate driver and the data driver; and a level shifter integrated circuit (IC) configured to receive a plurality of control signals from the timing controller, and generate and output a plurality gate control signals for controlling driving of the gate driver, in which the plurality of control signals include an on clock and an off clock, and the level shifter IC stores the on clock and the off clock in buffers based on one or more control signals from the timing controller, generates a plurality of scan clocks by logically processing the on clock and the off clock, and outputs the plurality of scan clocks to the gate driver.

Abstract: Disclosed is an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device. The OLED display device includes a target current setting unit connected to a pixel via a data line, to set a target current meeting a data voltage during a sampling period before a holding period to a target current to drive an OLED element during the holding period. The pixel includes a drive thin film transistor (TFT) for driving the OLED element, a first switching TFT to connect the drive TFT to a first power line for the sampling period such that the drive TFT serves as a diode, a second switching TFT to connect a source electrode of the drive TFT to the data line for the sampling period, and a capacitor connected between gate and source electrodes of the drive TFT, to store a drive voltage for the drive TFT determined based on the target current.

Abstract: A method of driving an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display device can include, during an initialization period, supplying a reference voltage (Vref), via a first amplifier, to a gate electrode of a driving thin film transistor (TFT) connected to an OLED element and charging an initialization voltage in a source electrode of the driving TFT; during a sensing period, supplying the reference voltage (Vref), via the first amplifier, to the gate electrode of the driving TFT, and charging the source electrode of the driving TFT from the initialization voltage to a reference sensing voltage based on the reference voltage (Vref) minus a threshold voltage (Vth) of the driving TFT; and during a sampling period, supplying a data voltage (Vdata), via the first amplifier, to the gate electrode of the driving TFT, sensing the reference sensing voltage, via a third amplifier, and supplying the reference sensing voltage, via a second amplifier, to the source electrode of the driving TFT.

Abstract: An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display device can include a pixel and a data driver. The data driver includes a first amplifier to drive the data line with a reference voltage or a data voltage, a second amplifier to drive the reference line with an initialization voltage, and a third amplifier to sense a voltage of the reference line and supply a reference sensing voltage to the second amplifier, in which the reference line voltage is based on a threshold voltage of the driving TFT.
