Abstract: A centrifugal fan includes: an impeller; and a scroll housing surrounding the impeller, the scroll housing having suction hole and discharge hole formed therein. The scroll housing includes: a base plate; a scroll wall connected to the base plate, the scroll wall being formed in a scroll shape from a cutoff; and a discharge wall extending from the scroll wall. In the centrifugal fan, a flow path extending portion having a flow path sectional area extending toward an air flow direction convexly protrudes in the outer direction of the scroll housing in the base plate. Accordingly, a flow path is formed to extend in two directions including a direction in which the scroll wall extends and a direction in which the flow path extending portion protrudes. Thus, the static pressure of a discharge air current can be quickly recovered, and the blowing performance of the centrifugal fan can be improved. Further, the flow path extending portion is formed to protrude from the base plate, so that it is possible to enhance utilization of space near the flow path extending portion.

Abstract: An air conditioner includes: a suction body having an air suction hole formed therein; a heat exchanger in which air sucked into the air suction hole is heat-exchanged; and a pair of blow discharge units through which the air heat-exchanged in the heat exchanger is passed and discharged. In the air conditioner, each of the pair of blow discharge units includes: a discharge body in which an air inflow hole and an air discharge hole are formed to be spaced apart from each other, and a discharge passage is formed between the air inflow hole and the air discharge hole; a rotation mechanism for rotating the discharge body about a vertical center axis; a cross flow fan rotatably positioned in the discharge passage, the cross flow fan being disposed vertically long in the discharge passage; and a fan motor having a vertical rotational shaft for rotating the cross flow fan. When the cross flow fan is mounted between the discharge body and the heat exchanger, the air conditioner can become more compact, and the utilization of space between the discharge body and the heat exchanger can be enhanced.

Abstract: The present invention provides a heat pump that includes: a compressor, a switching valve, an indoor heat exchanger, a first expansion valve, and an outdoor heat exchanger, wherein the outdoor heat exchanger includes: a primary heat exchanging unit connected with the first expansion valve through a refrigerant pipe and through which outdoor air exchanges heat; a secondary heat exchanging unit connected with the switching valve through a refrigerant pipe, disposed behind the primary heat exchanging unit in the flow direction of outdoor air, and through which the outdoor air, which has exchanged heat through the primary heat exchanging unit, exchanges heat; a connection pipe that connects the primary heat exchanging unit and the secondary heat exchanging unit with each other; and a second expansion valve that is disposed in the connection pipe. Therefore, it is possible to improve both cooling performance and heating performance with minimum parts and a simple structure.
