The present invention provides a mobile terminal including a sensing unit, a display unit, a processor, wherein the processor is configured to execute an Always on Display (AOD) mode for enabling the display unit to be always turned on at low power while executing at least one application in a background state, display the at least one application or at least one controller corresponding to the at least one application on the display unit in the AOD mode after executing the AOD mode, and perform a quick-operation after sensing an input signal for controlling the application or the controller.
