Abstract:
A method for restarting a prohibit timer in a wireless communication system, the method performed by a user equipment (UE) includes starting the prohibit timer related to a transmission of power preference information; receiving, from a network, a handover message including a timer value; performing a handover procedure based on the received handover message; restarting the prohibit timer based on applying the received timer value included in the handover message; and stopping the prohibit timer based on whether the UE initiates radio resource control (RRC) re-establishment procedure while the prohibit timer is running. Further, upon initiating the RRC re-establishment procedure, the UE disables the transmission of the power preference information and stops the prohibit timer.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for establishing a device-to-device (D2D) connection in a wireless communication system is provided. A first mobile device transmits a D2D related message including an identity of a second mobile device, which is connected with the first mobile device, to a network. Or, a first mobile device receives a D2D related message including an identity of a second mobile device, which is connected with the first mobile device, from a network.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for transmitting a power headroom reporting in the wireless communication system, the method comprising: generating a PHR MAC CE (Power Headroom Reporting MAC Control Element) for activated cells comprising a first cell and a second cell; and transmitting a power headroom reporting through the generated PHR MAC CE to a network in a subframe, wherein the generated PHR MAC CE includes a value of Type 2 PH (Power Headroom) information for the first cell followed by a value of a Type 2 PH information for the second cell, and the Type 2 PH information for the second cell followed by a value of Type 1 PH information for the first cell.
Abstract:
A method for a user equipment (UE) operating in a wireless communication system including a first base station (BS) and a second BS. The UE includes two medium access control (MAC) entities: one MAC entity for the first BS and one MAC entity for the second BS. The method includes mapping a first logical channel group (LCG) including one or more logical channels for transmitting first data to the first BS to the one MAC entity for the first BS and a second LCG including one or more logical channels for transmitting second data to the second BS to the one MAC entity for the second BS; based on the first data belonging to a logical channel in the first LCG having a higher priority than priorities of other logical channels in the first LCG for which data is already available for transmission, triggering, by the one MAC entity for the first BS, a first buffer status report to the first BS independently of logical channels of the second LCG; and based on the second data belonging to a logical channel in the second LCG having a higher priority than priorities of other logical channels in the second LCG for which data is already available for transmission, triggering, by the one MAC entity for the second BS, a second buffer status report to the second BS independently of logical channels of the first LCG.
Abstract:
A method is provided for transmitting, by a user equipment (UE) with which a primary cell and at least one secondary cell are configured, power headroom (PH) information in a wireless communication system. The PH information is generated and transmitted to a base station. The PH information includes a first field including a plurality of indicators, each of the plurality of indicators indicating the presence of a second field indicating a PH level of a corresponding secondary cell. The PH information includes a type-2 PH field which is always included for the primary cell together with a type-1 PH field.
Abstract:
A method is presented for performing a device-to-device (D2D) operation by a first user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. The first UE receives configuration information of an evolved-universal mobile telecommunications service (UMTS) terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN) planned mode for the D2D operation from an evolved NodeB (eNB). The E-UTRAN planned mode is a D2D mode in which the eNB controls radio resources for the D2D operation. The UE performs the D2D operation with a second UE by using the radio resources in the E-UTRAN planned mode.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of saving PLMN (public land mobile network) information of a user equipment in a wireless communication system and apparatus therefor. In particular, the present invention includes the step of determining a selected PLMN among at least one PLMN (public land mobile network), detecting a connection problem for the selected PLMN, and if the connection problem is detected, saving an information on the selected PLMN.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and a device for calculating an amount of data available for transmission in the wireless communication system, the method comprising: receiving ratio for calculating amount of Data Available for Transmission (DAT) in a PDCP (Packet Data Convergence Protocol) entity; calculating an amount of DAT when data is arrived in the PDCP entity; and setting a first amount of DAT as the calculated amount of DAT and a second amount of DAT as ‘zero’, if the calculated amount of DAT is less than a threshold, wherein the first amount of DAT is for the first BS and the second amount of DAT is for the second BS.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing a random access procedure in a wireless communication system is provided. In one embodiment, a user equipment (UE) determines a required amount of repetitions for uplink transmissions during a random access procedure, and performs repetitions for uplink transmissions based on the determined required amount of repetitions for uplink transmissions. The uplink transmissions may include transmission of preambles which are grouped. In another embodiment, a UE configures a communication windows for lost-cost machine-type communication (MTC) UE, and performs a random access procedure through the configured communication window.
