摘要: A separator for a lithium secondary battery and a method for manufacturing the same. The separator for a lithium secondary battery includes: a porous polymer substrate; and a porous coating layer on at least one surface of the porous polymer substrate. The porous coating layer includes inorganic particles, a fluorine-containing binder polymer (A), and an ethylenic copolymer (B) having an ethylene monomer-derived repeating unit (a) and a vinyl acetate monomer-derived repeating unit (b). It is possible to provide a separator having improved adhesion peel strength between the porous coating layer and the porous polymer substrate and improved adhesion Lami strength to an electrode at the same time and a method for manufacturing the same by using an ethylenic copolymer having predetermined characteristics.

摘要: Disclosed is a separator including a separator substrate and an inorganic coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the substrate, wherein a concave pattern portion having a concave pattern is applied merely at the outer circumferential end of the separator substrate. The separator may show excellent resistance characteristics, while ensuring high binding force between the separator substrate and the inorganic coating layer by virtue of such a structural feature. In addition, in the electrochemical device including the separator, the concave pattern portion at the outer circumferential end of the separator is disposed in such a manner that it may be overlapped with the tab portion of an electrode, when the separator is applied to an electrode assembly. In this manner, it is possible to prevent lithium plating.

摘要: A separator, an electrode assembly and an electrochemical device including the same are provided. The separator is used for a zigzag stacking-type electrode assembly, and includes a porous substrate made of a polymer material and a porous coating layer formed on opposite surfaces of the porous substrate and containing inorganic particles. A thickness (Ts) of the porous substrate decreases gradually from opposite ends toward a central portion based on a longitudinal direction of the separator, a total thickness (Tc) of the porous coating layers increases gradually toward the central portion, and a total thickness (Ts+Tc) of the separator is constant.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a separator for a lithium secondary battery comprising a porous substrate, and a porous coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the porous substrate and comprising inorganic particles and binder polymer, wherein the binder polymer is terpolymer including 65 to 90 weight % of a repeat unit derived from vinylidenefluoride (VDF), 1 to 28 weight % of a repeat unit derived from hexafluoropropylene (HFP) and 5 to 28 weight % of a repeat unit derived from chlorotrifluoroethylene (CTFE), and the separator has adhesiveness towards electrode ranging from 30 gf/25 mm to 150 gf/25 mm and machine direction (MD) thermal shrinkage of 1 to 18% and transverse direction (TD) thermal shrinkage of 1 to 17%, and a lithium secondary battery comprising the same, wherein the separator has uniform micropores on the surface, and thus has the increased adhesive surface area with electrode and consequential improved adhesiveness towards electrode.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a separator for a lithium secondary battery. Particularly, the method for manufacturing a separator for a lithium secondary battery includes the steps of: preparing a slurry for forming a porous coating layer. The porous coating layer includes inorganic particles dispersed in an asymmetric linear ketone solvent and a binder polymer, including a first binder polymer and a second binder polymer, dissolved therein; and applying the slurry for forming a porous coating layer onto a porous polymer substrate having a plurality of pores, followed by drying. The slurry for forming a porous coating layer may be prepared by dissolving a first binder polymer and a second binder polymer having predetermined properties in an asymmetric ketone solvent, and a separator may be obtained by using the slurry for forming a porous coating layer.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a non-woven separator for a lithium secondary battery, includes: (S1) preparing a first solution of β-chitin dissolved in a first solvent and a second solution of vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer (PVDF-TrFE) dissolved in a second solvent; (S2) coaxial electrospinning with the first solution as a core solution and the second solution as a shell solution to produce a non-woven fabric formed of a fiber with a core-shell structure having a core portion of the β-chitin and a shell portion of the vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer; and (S3) performing heat treatment on the non-woven fabric at a temperature lower than a thermal decomposition point of the β-chitin and higher than a melting point of the vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer to melt and recrystallize the vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene copolymer.
