Abstract: An air purifier includes a first body having an inlet formed in a circumferential surface and an outlet formed above the inlet; a fan rotatably disposed between the inlet and the outlet to form an air flow from the inlet to the outlet; a filter for removing foreign substances in air flowing into the inlet; and a second body disposed above the first body and guiding air discharged from the outlet radially outward. The second body includes: a lower cover fixedly disposed at the first body and extending radially outward in an upward direction from the outlet to guide the air discharged from the outlet; and a top cover detachably disposed above the lower cover and forming a flat surface. A protrusion is formed in a bottom surface of the lower cover and protruding downward.

Abstract: An air purifier may include: a first body including a case having an inlet and an outlet, and a fan disposed inside the case; and a second body coupled to a top of the first body and including a central portion and an outer edge surrounding the central portion, wherein the second body includes: a lower body coupled to the first body; a cover disposed over the lower body; and an upper body disposed between the lower body and the cover, the upper body having a greater height at a portion thereof that corresponds to the outer edge than at a portion thereof that corresponds to the central portion, thereby allowing water, penetrating into the second body, to be collected.

Abstract: A thermo-hygrostat air conditioner is provided that may include at least one indoor unit installed indoors, and including a main coil that provides air that meets a predetermined humidity by dehumidifying outdoor air and a sub coil that cools or heats the dehumidified air at a predetermined temperature and provides the air indoors; and an outdoor unit connected to the main coil and the sub coil of the indoor unit via a refrigerant pipe and including at least one outdoor heat exchanger, at least one compressor, at least one outdoor expansion valve and at least one four way valve. A mode of the main coil and the sub coil may be determined depending on a cooling load and a heating load. The outdoor unit may control the four way valve according to the mode of the main coil and the sub coil and provide refrigerant to the main coil and the sub coil according to the mode.

Abstract: An outdoor device for an air conditioner is provided. The base may include a base body including a main body seat, on which a compressor may be supported; and an edge portion including an edge seat, which is provided along an outer side of the base body and on which the heat exchanger may be supported. The edge seat may include a first edge seat, on which at least a first portion of the heat exchanger may be seated; a second edge seat, on which a second portion of the heat exchanger may be seated and which has a width greater than the first edge seat; and a discharge hole defined in the second edge seat, and aligned under the heat exchanger.

The method of controlling an air conditioner may include determining whether a low-load condition is satisfied on the basis of a number of indoor devices or a temperature of external air, performing a low-load operation of a compressor at a predetermined frequency when the low-load condition is satisfied, detecting whether an operation pressure is out of a target pressure value or range while the low-load operation is performed, and bypassing a refrigerant from the compressor to a gas/liquid separator via an injection passage when the operation pressure is out of the target pressure value or range.

The outdoor heat exchanger may include first to third heat exchangers, each of which may include a refrigerant tube through which the refrigerant may flow, the first to third heat exchangers being connected to each other in parallel during a heating operation and in series during a cooling operation, a first branch that branches the refrigerant into a first distribution tube, which may be directed to the first and second heat exchangers, and a second distribution tube which may be directed to the third heat exchanger, a second branch that branches the refrigerant branched from the first branch into a first branch tube, which may be directed to the first heat exchanger and a second branch tube, which may be directed to the second heat exchanger, and a first valve provided in the first distribution tube.
