摘要: A number of ports are configured in a linecard in a network device as dedicated ports and a remaining number of ports as shared ports. A total bandwidth allocated to the dedicated ports is computed. It is determined that available bandwidth at a central crossbar is greater than the total bandwidth allocated to the dedicated ports. The total data sent the central crossbar is rate limited to less than the available bandwidth at the central crossbar. First data associated with the dedicated ports is scheduled to the central crossbar using a first priority. Second data associated with the shared ports is scheduled using a second priority. A shared port data is scheduled based on a ration of a bandwidth requirement for the shared port as a fraction of overall bandwidth requirement for the shared ports.

摘要: Various systems and methods for using credits to determine cable length are described herein. A number of available credits is determined at a transmitter, the credits being received at the transmitter from a receiver, and each of the credits being used for the transmitter to transmit a packet to the receiver. An average number of credits for a period is determined. The cable length between the transmitter and the receiver is determined based on the average number of credits for the period.

摘要: In one embodiment, a method is provided for alleviating congestion in a network system. In this method, the receipt of data packets destined for a destination apparatus is detected. Flow control signals are also received with each flow control signal corresponding to a data packet. Various time periods are tracked with each time period being between the detection of the receipt of a data packet and the receipt of tracked corresponding flow control signal. An average of the time periods is calculated and this average is compared to a threshold. One or more data packets are dropped in reference to the comparison.

摘要: The invention is a method and apparatus for controlling the vibration modes of a vibratory rotation sensor (VRS) comprising a resonator and a housing which together serve as the ground potential reference. The resonator has a surface with a conductive region and the housing has a plurality of attached electrodes positioned opposing the conductive region on the resonator. The parameters of the resonator standing-wave vibration pattern are determined by feeding an ac sensing signal to the conducting region on the resonator and obtaining one or more vibration signals while the electric potential of the conductive region on the resonator is maintained within 100 millivolts of ground. Each vibration signal is a replica of the ac sensing signal with amplitude modulation which is a periodic function of the distance from a point in the conducting region of the surface of the resonator to an opposing housing electrode. The frequency of the amplitude modulation is the vibration frequency of the resonator. The parameters of the standing wave are determined from the vibration signals, and these parameters are used in controlling the standing-wave parameters by generating appropriate ac forcing voltages which are applied to the housing electrodes.

摘要: A moisture monitoring system with internes of things devices. The system includes at least one irrigating device having a moisture sensor, a temperature sensor, a valve connected to a water source, a wireless transmitter that sends sensor information to a cloud server via a first internet-of-things establishing a first channel of communication, and a wireless receiver configured to receive valve actuation signals from the cloud server via a second internet-of-things device establishing a second channel of communication. A valve actuator opens the valve upon receiving an actuation signal via the second internet-of-things device. The duration of the valve remaining open and other parameters are adjustable by a user utilizing a user interface of the second internet-of-things device. The moisture monitoring system can be customized and applied to various use cases depending on the irrigation needs of the user.

摘要: A moisture meter having a housing with a stake disposed at a lower end thereof. A moisture sensor and a temperature sensor disposed on the stake. The moisture meter includes a valve wherein a water source is removably secured thereto. The stake includes a channel between the valve and a tip of the stake, allowing liquid to flow therethrough. Alternatively, the valve can be mounted on a wall or adjacent to a water line, wherein the stake can be connected to valve by a water hose. A wireless transmitter is disposed within the sensor housing and can transmit the moisture and temperature readings from the moisture and temperature sensors to an external source. A wireless receiver is disposed within the valve housing in order to actuate the valve, allowing water to flow through the stake and into the ground, should the moisture and temperature readings reach a pre-set level.
