    摘要: A new general purpose foaming agent having application as drilling fluid foaming agents or as any foaming agent needed an a wide variety of applications is disclosed, where the agent includes at least one anionic surfactant, at least one cationic surfactant, and mixtures thereof and one or more zwitterionic compounds. A method for using the foaming agent in capillary coiled tubing application is also disclosed. The foaming agents can also include additive to augment the properties of the foaming agent for a given application.

    摘要: Volatile organics in newly produced oil and gas, and/or condensates and distillates from produced oil and gas, are treated to depress vapor pressure to preserve light hydrocarbons in them when they are in storage vessels. The loss of volatile organics during storage of high gravity oil is minimized by forming a flowable or pumpable gel in the high gravity oil, (and/or condensates and distillates), as they are introduced to a storage vessel. The gel-former may comprise a phosphate ester of one or more low molecular weight alcohols, and a crosslinker including a source of iron or aluminum. Although the gels are flowable and pumpable, they can be broken for transportation from the production site or at another desirable time, returning the hydrocarbon product to its original properties.

    摘要: A composition is disclosed that is adapted to convert hydrogen sulfide and organic sulfides to nontoxic polymers. The compositions comprise amine resin solutions made by reacting sterically hindered amines such as amine heads with aldoses selected from the group consisting of D-aldoses having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms. Streams containing hydrogen sulfide or organic sulfides are preferably treated by contacting such streams with from about 2 to about 4 ppm or more of the amine solution of the invention per ppm of sulfide.
