摘要: Computer readable media, methods, and apparatuses for centralized channel access for primary and secondary channels are disclosed. An apparatus is disclosed comprising memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to encode a schedule of one or more resource allocations, wherein each resource allocation comprises a type of allocation, a bandwidth, an indication of a channel, a source association identification (AID), a destination AID, an allocation start, and a duration. The type of allocation may be a service period (SP) or a contention-based access period (CBAP). The channel may be an indication of a basic service set (BSS) or a personal BSS (PBSS) primary channel, BSS or PBSS secondary channel, or BSS or PBSS tertiary channel. The processing circuitry may be configured to transmit the schedule to one or more stations identified by the source AID and the destination AID of the one or more resource allocations.

摘要: Embodiments of an access point (AP), station (STA) and method for channel access are generally described herein. The AP may contend for access to a channel. The contention may be performed in accordance with an omni-directional enhanced distributed channel access function (EDCAF) for transmission within an omni-directional pattern. The contention may be further performed in accordance with a directional EDCAF for transmission to a station (STA) in a directional pattern. The AP may determine whether to transmit within the omni-directional pattern based at least partly on an omni-directional backoff parameter. The AP may further determine whether to transmit in the directional pattern based at least partly on a directional backoff parameter.

摘要: Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems and/or methods of link measurement of a wireless communication link. For example, a wireless communication unit may communicate a link measurement request frame between an initiator station and a responder station; may communicate a first link measurement report frame in response to the link measurement request frame, the link measurement report frame including link information determined by the responder station with respect to a wireless communication link between the initiator station and the responder station; and/or may communicate a second, unsolicited, link measurement report frame including link information determined by the initiator station with respect to the wireless communication link.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, apparatus, and system of wireless transmission with frame alignment. For example, a method in accordance with demonstrative embodiments of the invention may include synchronizing between a transmitter using a first modulation scheme, which may have multiple frame formats, and a receiver using a second modulation scheme, by calculating a transmission time that aligns an inter frame space start time of the first and second modulation schemes. Other features are described and claimed.

摘要: Embodiments of a millimeter-wave communication station and method for multiple-access beamforming in a millimeter-wave network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, an initiating station performs multiple-access beamforming with one or more responding stations by announcing a number of sector-sweep (SS) slots of a beamforming training (BFT) period and a number of SS frames of each SS slot. One or more SS frames are received from one or more of the responding stations within one of the SS slots of the BFT period. The initiating station transmits one or more SS feedback frames to the responding stations within the one SS slot to indicate an antenna configuration to the responding stations for communication with the initiating station. The responding stations transmit a limited number of SS frames per SS slot based on the number of SS frames announced by the initiating station and transmit any additional SS frames in a next SS slot of the beamforming training period. Each SS frame contains an indication to the initiating station of an antenna configuration for communication with the responding station.

摘要: Methods and apparatuses enable selective operation in an extended bandwidth channel of a wireless communication band. For example, a client station can be selectively authorized to operate on a 40 MHz channel in a 2.4 GHz band. The client station or an access point or both can determine whether interference exists in the wireless communication band. If potential interference exists, the client station may operate on a non-extended bandwidth channel. If potential interference does not exist, the client station may operate on an extended bandwidth channel. Operation between the two channels can be dynamic based on continued monitoring of the wireless communication band for potential interference.
