摘要: A microchannel device is provided with a plastic substrate having a microchannel formed therein. Polyelectrolyte multilayers are disposed along selected surfaces of the microchannel. The polyelectrolyte layers comprise alternating net positively charged layers and net negatively charged layers. A microchannel lid has a surface facing the microchannel. In making the microchannel device, selected surfaces of the microchannel are alternatively exposed to solutions comprising positively charged polyelectrolytes and negatively charged polyelectrolytes to form the desired number of polyelectrolyte layers.

摘要: A method and device are provided for concentrating and separating ionic species in solution within a fluidic device having a fluid conduit such as a channel or capillary. The concentration is achieved by balancing the electrophoretic velocity of an analyte against the bulk flow of solution in the presence of a temperature gradient. Using an appropriate buffer, the temperature gradient can generate a corresponding gradient in the electrophoretic velocity so that the electrophoretic and bulk velocities sum to zero at a unique point and the analyte will be focused at that point. The method and device may be adapted for use with a variety of analytes including fluorescent dyes, amino acids, proteins, DNA and to concentrate a dilute analyte.

摘要: Embodiments are described for a articulating bed frame which may be utilized as a bed, a chair, or a lift chair. The articulating bed frame has a support frame with a mattress resting thereon. A plurality of support members is in operative communication with at least one motor. A controller allows the user to select from a plurality of configurations and thus modulate the orientation of the bed.

摘要: A method to identify character strings associated with potentially malicious software items. The method includes employing a visual algorithm to translate one or more characters of a character string into corresponding characters in a visual ID for use in grouping and comparing computer items having similar visual IDs, such as a reference ID for a computer item that is known to be non-malicious. The method may, among other things, elucidate an attacker's attempt to obfuscate malicious software by using file names that are very similar to those used for harmless files.

摘要: A method for organizing event data by identifying a primary timeline containing event data, extracting a first timestamp from a first item of the primary timeline, setting a radius around the first timestamp, identifying a second timestamp within the radius, determining whether the second timestamp is already in a wrinkle timeline, and, if not, incorporating the second timestamp into the wrinkle timeline. Event data associated with the first item may be marked and emphasized in the wrinkle timeline. The system may also create one or more indexes of the event data.

摘要: The present invention generally relates to systems and methods for sharing information related to a location also referred to herein as a “spot,” such as spot alerts and/or spot comments (e.g., shared information, advertisements, etc.) received, displayed, played, and/or actuated, for example, on recipient mobile electronic devices proximately located to such location (e.g., spot). Users of the system can create spot alerts in which designated recipients can receive messages, such as spot alerts and/or spot comments (e.g., shared information, advertisements, etc.) received, displayed, played, and/or actuated, for example, on respective recipient mobile electronic devices, when located within a proximity of a defined location (e.g., spot).

摘要: A system, method, and computer readable storage medium generates an audio fingerprint for an input audio clip that is robust to differences in key, instrumentation, and other performance variations. The audio fingerprint comprises a sequence of intervalgrams that represent a melody in an audio clip according pitch intervals between different time points in the audio clip. The fingerprint for an input audio clip can be compared to a set of reference fingerprints in a reference database to determine a matching reference audio clip.
