摘要： An interactive cable television system, such as a one way system, simultaneously provides both regular television programmings for one or more television reception channels and subscriber selectable multi-information television programming for a designated common one of those channels to a plurality of subscribers. Each individual subscriber having a multi-information interface network connected to the multichannel television receiver input may independently choose between reception of the regular television programming on any of the channels, including the designated common channel, and reception of the multi-information television programming which comprises a plurality of multi-information packets. Each packet comprises a plurality of simultaneously transmitted different information message signals which are related in real time and content to each other but which are transmitted at a different frequency from each other and from the associated frequencies of the television reception channels. The interface network, which includes a plurality of selection keys, converts the associated frequency of the desired information message signal in the transmitted packet to the common designated channel frequency to enable television reception thereof in accordance with the key selected. Another subscriber having the interface network may independently choose to receive either the regular television programming on that, or another channel, or a different information message signal, while subscribers not having the interface network may still receive the regular television programming. Labels for the selection keys may be visually presented on the television screen during reception of multi-information programming and may be dynamically varied in accordance with message content, such as in a decision tree or memory accumulation type of programming format.

摘要： A real time conversational verbal interactive toy apparatus capable of providing a conversational type response to an interrogatory message from a removably insertable magnetic storage medium which comprises a plurality of coextensive multipurpose audio tracks contained in a housing includes a multipurpose selection apparatus for directly selecting one of the tracks for reproducing the selected information stored thereon, such as a multiple choice response to the interrogatory message, an insertion security apparatus operatively associated with a receptacle therein for providing an insertion condition for the inserted received magnetic storage medium housing with respect to the receptacle, the storage medium housing having a playback authorization code disposed thereon, the insertion security apparatus comprising elements responsive to this code for providing the insertion condition therefrom, and a condition responsive network operatively associated with the insertion security apparatus for controllably enabling the provision of a secure selected multiple choice playback response from the storage medium. Each track stores information in reproducible segments which are spatially related in time along the tracks and related in content to the corresponding segments on the other coextensive tracks of the plurality for providing the real time conversational type response. The condition responsive network is responsive to the provision of the insertion condition for providing the enable condition to a playback head only when the provided insertion condition corresponds solely to the playback authorization code so that only media capable of providing the aforementioned type of response may be employed.

摘要： An interactive restaurant communication system (10) provides integrated food and entertainment processing which enables restaurant patrons to accomplish both food selection and select and receive entertainment on a common video monitor (56) at their table. The patrons can obtain menus for individual food selection on the video monitor (56) at their tables and individually enter their orders into a table station "intelligent" terminal (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) at their tables. In addition they can select from and interactively play a variety of remotely retrievable interactive entertainment activities using the video monitor (56) while waiting for the food to arrive, and if desired, where applicable, have the food and entertainment charges automatically added to a composite bill which may be printed at the table station terminal (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) or at a remote central location. The food and entertainment functions of the terminal (12, 14, 16, 18, 20) are down-line loaded from a central data base (22, 32) in response to terminal requests therefor.

摘要： A method for providing a three dimensional photographic scenic image, such as a portrait or other scene, on a ceramic substrate from an actual colored photographic image of the scene. The photographic image is transferred to the ceramic substrate, such as by a heat transfer process, after which it can be hand colored, or automatically by use of an ink jet printer, with the image being colorized using ceramic paints, such as water based or acrylic ceramic paints, in colors corresponding to the actual color photographic image, and the ceramic painted color image is then fired, such as in a home type oven, to create the finished decorative product. The fired workpiece may then be sealed, or, alternatively, it may be glazed in a kiln, if desired. A frame may also be provided around the ceramic photographic image containing ceramic substrate.

摘要： A method for independently centrally electronically accumulating market survey data from different content rapidly disseminated multiple inquiry market surveys from a plurality of panelist stations (14, 16, 18, 20) located at diverse locations. Variable market survey questionnaires to diverse located panelists may be remotely rapidly disseminated from a centrally located host computer (12) to the panelist stations (14, 16, 18, 20) over a common communications link (22 or 104) for individual visual display at the panelist stations (14, 16, 18, 20), such as on a CRT (42) or television set (44) or alphanumeric display (45), with the displayed questionnaires resulting from a downstream loaded set of control instructions stored in a local survey program RAM (54) whose content may be remotely varied from the head end or host computer (12). The individualized responses provided by the panelists are locally processed (34, 50), temporarily stored in a local survey data RAM (52) and subsequently transmitted back to the host computer (12) via a telephone type link (22) where they are accumulatively processed in a rapid fashion. Multiple different surveys can be downstream loaded to individual panelists, or to a subgroup of panelists, or to all panelists, and follow up surveys and/or tailored surveys can also be rapidly conducted, all under the control of the host computer (12) at the head end providing a rapid and flexible survey collection and dissemination method.
