摘要: A barcode-reading device can send barcode images to a remote server for decoding. A decoder on the remote server can process the images and attempt to decode any barcodes in the images. Once the decoder on the remote server has successfully decoded a barcode, the remote server can send the decoded data back to the barcode-reading device and/or to a host computing device that is communicatively coupled to the barcode-reading device. If the barcode-reading device receives the decoded data, the barcode-reading device can forward the decoded data to the host computing device. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can send all captured images to the remote server. Alternatively, a barcode-reading device can send only some captured images to the remote server. In some embodiments, a barcode-reading device can be configured to perform one or more preliminary processing operations on an image before sending the image to the remote server.

摘要: A system for foreign material accountability includes a kiosk, which further includes a touch enabled display screen that is back-lit and automatically adjusts brightness based on ambient environment. A user input device, wherein the user input device includes a pin pad, one or more sensors selected from a group consisting of temperature sensors, RFID sensors, IR sensors, optical sensors, iris sensors and one or more cameras, a processor, a data bus coupled to the processor and a computer-usable medium embodying computer code operating on the kiosk. The computer code includes programmed instructions executable by the processor to control accessibility of items into a restricted area based on data received from at least one of the display screen operated by a user, the user input device, and the one or more sensors.

摘要: Systems, methods, and processor-readable storage media for remote controlling of electronic shelf labels. An example method includes receiving, at a computing device, store layout data of a retail store and product data. The product data identifies at least one product and a price of the product. The method causes an optical emitter to emit an optical signal to at least one electronic shelf label based at least in part on the store layout data, the product data, and a predetermined rule. The optical signal bears the product data and is configured to cause the electronic shelf label to change displayable information to reflect new product data. The electronic shelf label can also send feedback to the optical emitter to inform that the optical signal was successfully received.

摘要: Systems and methods for facilitating the sorting of assets to sort locations. In various embodiments, a sort employee scans an indicia using a user device, which stores asset data corresponding to the stored asset. As the sort employee nears a sort location (e.g., a delivery vehicle) with the asset and the user device, the user device automatically communicates wirelessly with a sort location receiver to associate the asset with data indicative of the sort location where the user deposits the asset. In various embodiments, a device may determine whether the user device is proximate the appropriate sort location for the item, and may generate an alert upon a determination that the user device is proximate an incorrect sort location.

An example method includes: receiving, from a first mobile device, a first input identifying a first location inside an establishment; receiving, from the first mobile device, a second RFID scan of an RFID tag affixed to a second mobile object; creating, in accordance with the first scan and the second RFID scan, a database relationship that identifies the second mobile object as being located at the first location inside the establishment; and storing the database relationship at a computer server system. The first input may include a first scan of a first tag affixed to the first location inside the establishment. The first scan may include an optical scan, and the first tag includes an encoded image.

摘要: A system and method for improving bowling shot performance based on bowling shot metrics calculated from the analysis of bowling shot sensor data from the user are disclosed. The system comprises a motion sensor/computer device integrated with a bowling glove, a microcomputer system, wireless data communications coupled to methods for data capture from the sensorized glove, and a mobile electronic device for accessing and displaying a bowler's current and historical performance data using the Internet. The performance metrics include ball revolutions rate at release, ball speed, force, backswing duration, front swing duration and shot tempo. Comparing the current and historical performance data allows the user to adjust his or her bowling swing accordingly.
