    Abstract: A cable termination device of the dry type, including an insulator housing with an upper end and a lower end and having a hollow interior, which lower end has an opening for insertion of the cable. The device further includes a stress controller device located inside the insulator housing and adapted to be mounted on a high voltage cable, and an electrically insulating gel filling at least part of the hollow interior of the insulator housing and surrounding at least part of the stress controller device. Further, the stress controller device extends from the lower end of the insulator housing and into the housing where it has a free end, whereby a space is formed between the stress controller device and an inner wall of the insulator housing.

    Abstract: For trowelling concrete spread over a floor, a trowelling device is used, which includes a carrier having a cantilever arm swingable over the floor. At the distal end of the arm a rotatable trowelling member is carried in a pedestal structure permitting vertical adjustment of the floor contacting parts. A laser sends a horizontal beam at a predetermined level over the floor, and an upwardly directed measuring rod at the housing of the trowelling member is provided with a detector for catching the beam, and for transferring deviations of the beam from a mark thereon into signals for adjusting the position of the trowelling member.

    Abstract: An implementation of coded time-domain reflectometry that can be incorporated in a transmitter as a built-in test function is disclosed. A sequence of a signal that is being transmitted is captured, delayed and used for correlation to a received reflected signal from the transmission medium. A correlation signal is obtained if the delay value of the captured signal sequence corresponds to the roundtrip delay from the transmitter to a reflection point of the medium. Based to the relation between delay values and the strength of the correlated signal, the magnitude of reflective points throughout the transmission medium can be evaluated. In the preferred embodiment, the transmitter is an optical transmitter, and the transmission medium is optical fiber.

    Abstract: A cable termination for a high-voltage cable (1) with a solid insulating material (3) in an open connection to a circuit comprises a male part (A) and a female part (B) which are assembled into an electrically conducting mechanical joint.
