摘要： A method, according to one embodiment, includes: establishing a wireless connection between a wireless receiver in a solid state drive and a mobile device, receiving configuration instructions from the mobile device via the wireless connection, sending the received configuration instructions to a processor in a second device via a physical electrical connection coupling the second device to the solid state drive, receiving data from the second device via the physical electrical connection coupling the second device to the solid state drive, and storing the data in a memory of the solid state drive according to the received configuration instructions. 摘要： An apparatus includes a memory device for storing program instructions and a processor for processing the program instructions to: receive a host data storage command that includes a host namespace, a host memory pointer and a logical block address range; translate the host data storage command into a plurality of disk data storage commands, wherein each disk data storage command is uniquely identified with a disk namespace on one of a plurality of non-volatile memory devices; and send, for each of the plurality of disk data storage commands, the disk data storage command to the non-volatile memory device that includes the uniquely identified disk namespace.

摘要： Storage devices are connected to a Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) switch and form an input/output virtualization (IOV) replication cluster that can be exposed to a host processor via hardware root complex interconnecting the PCIe switch to the host processor. When a failed storage device is replaced with a new storage device, the new storage device can initiate a virtual root complex that connects to those storage devices containing data that was replicated on the failed storage device, to receive and copy the data on the new storage device. This replication process does not have to involve the hardware root complex or the host processor.
