    摘要: An electrophotographic element comprises a polyester-imide that includes a dioxy component and a dicarbonyl component, one of which components contains an aromatic tetracarbonyldiimide group, and has the formula ##STR1## wherein Ar.sup.1 represents a tetravalent aromatic group having 6 to about 20 carbon atoms, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents an alkylene group having 2 to about 12 carbon atoms, L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 represent O or C.dbd.O; when L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are O, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 each independently represents an aromatic or aliphatic dicarbonyl group having about 4 to about 12 carbon atoms and Q represents an alkylenedioxy group having 2 to about 25 carbon atoms or ##STR2## wherein Ar.sup.2 represents a tetravalent aromatic group having 6 to about 20 carbon atoms that may be the same as or different from Ar.sup.1, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each independently represents an alkylene group having 2 to about 12 carbon atoms; and L.sup.3 and L.sup.4 are O; or when L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are C.dbd.O, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 each independently represent an alkylenedioxy group having 2 to about 25 carbon atoms and Q represents an aromatic or aliphatic dicarbonyl group having about 4 to about 12 carbon atoms or ##STR3## wherein Ar.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are as defined above, and L.sup.3 and L.sup.4 are C.dbd.O; x represents the mole fraction of the dioxy or dicarbonyl component of the polyester-amide that contains the tetravalent aromatic group Ar.sup.1, and y represents the mole fraction of the dioxy or dicarbonyl component of the polyester-imide that contains Z.sup.1, wherein x is 0.05 to 1 and y is 0 to 0.95.

    摘要: A controlled modulus fusing-station member inclusive of a durable, tough, elastically deformable layer incorporating hollow flexible filler particles. The elastically deformable layer is preferably a single layer on a substrate, the substrate preferably a core member of a fuser roller or a pressure roller. The elastically deformable layer is made from a dry formulation inclusive of: a fluoro-thermoplastic polymer powder; microspheres in the form of unexpanded microspheres or expanded microballoons; and solid filler particles including strength-enhancing filler particles and thermal-conductivity-enhancing filler particles. The dry formulation can be thermally cured or electron-beam cured. Preferably, the dry formulation is thermally cured and further includes a curing catalyst, preferably a peroxide catalyst. Alternatively, the curing catalyst can be a bisphenol residue.
