Abstract: An impact driver includes a hammer that is rotated by a motor and an anvil configured to be struck by the hammer to rotate the anvil about a rotational axis. A hammer case houses the hammer. Two or more bearings are provided inside the hammer case and support the anvil. To inhibit vibration of the anvil during operation, the bearings may be differing types, such as a regular ball bearing and an angular contact ball bearing, and/or the bearings may have different inner and/or outer diameters. A contact member, such as an O-ring, may be disposed in an insertion hole of the anvil to reduce vibrations that are transmitted to the tool bit.

The housing includes: a motor housing part that houses the motor; a grip part that extends downward from the motor housing part; and a battery holding part that is connected to a lower end of the grip part. The control circuit board is housed in the grip part and is configured to control the motor. The panel is disposed at a rear portion of the battery holding part and is manipulated to change a control method of the motor.

Abstract: An impact tool is less likely to have a shorter service life. An impact tool includes a motor, a spindle, a hammer, an anvil, and a lid. The spindle is rotatable by the motor. The spindle has an opening in a rear end face of the spindle, an internal space extending frontward from the opening and including a first space containing a lubricant oil and a second space connecting to a rear end of the first space, and a first feed port in an outer circumferential surface of the spindle. The hammer surrounds the spindle. The anvil is strikable by the hammer in a rotation direction. The lid is placeable through the opening into the second space. The first feed port allows supply of the lubricant oil from the first space to between the spindle and the hammer.
