    Abstract: An air compressor more reliably protects a battery pack without lowering its operability for attachment to and detachment from a battery mount. The air compressor includes an electric motor driven on power from a battery pack having six faces, an operation unit operable to connect or disconnect power to the electric motor, an compression unit driven by the electric motor to produce compressed air, a tank that stores the compressed air, a battery mount that receives an attachment face of the battery pack, and a guard defining a protective area to contain the battery pack and the compression unit. The battery pack is attachable to the battery mount with at least three of the six faces exposed.

    Abstract: An air compressor comprises a compressor that compresses introduced air and a tank that stores the compressed air generated by the compressor. The air compressor also comprises a discharge pipe from which the compressed air and a condensate in the tank are discharged to an outside of the tank. The air compressor also comprises a drain cock that is disposed in a passage of the discharge pipe and serves to open and close the discharge pipe. The air compressor also comprises a discharge pipe end portion that includes a discharge port facing upward at a tip end of the discharge pipe. The air compressor also comprises a tubular cover including a top portion that covers the discharge pipe end portion from above.

    Abstract: In driving tools that perform driving actions on the condition that both the trigger and contact arm are activated, when the reference time t is reached after the trigger is activated, the power supply to the actuator is cut off, thereby allowing the contact arm stopper element to be moved to the lock position. The lock arm prohibits activation of the contact arm. The quicker motion of the actuator achieves a smoother transition to the locked state.

    Abstract: A portable inflator (1) includes a motor (51), a compression mechanism (6) driven by the motor (51) to compress and discharge air, a main body housing (2), a leg (3), a grip (4), and a manually-operable trigger (41) provided on the grip. The main body housing (2) includes a battery mount part (251) for detachably mounting a battery (8), and houses the motor (51) and the compression mechanism (6). The leg (3) supports the main body housing (2) when a lower surface (31) of the leg (3) is disposed on a placement surface (P). The grip (4) is connected to the main body housing (2) and extends at least substantially parallel to the lower surface (31) of the leg (3). The motor (51) is driven in accordance with pulling of the trigger (41).

    Abstract: A driving tool is provided with first and second grease reservoirs for supplying grease to seal rings present on the outer and inner peripheral circumferences of a head valve in contact with a spring guide. Because of this configuration, wearing off of resistance of the seal rings due to gradual loss of grease can be improved and air leakage therefrom can also be prevented, which can improve durability of the driving tool.

    Abstract: A driving tool including a first mode wherein a mechanical starting control is performed, and a second mode wherein an electrical starting control is performed, where these modes are configured to be switchable. Only in the second mode, if the elapsed time between the on-operation of a trigger and an on-operation of a contact arm does not exceed a reference time T0, then a second actuation portion can be turned to an on-position to perform a driving operation. In the first mode, in contrast to the electric control, without consuming battery power, the driving operation can be performed by the mechanical control that is made by an operational order of the trigger and subsequently the contact arm. Because of this configuration, even if power supply is shut off, the driving operation by the first mode can be continued.
