Abstract: A stratified scavenging two-stroke engine includes a first scavenging passage that extends from a first scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase to a scavenging port that opens to the inside of a cylinder, and a second scavenging passage that branches from the first scavenging passage and extends to a second scavenging intake that opens to the inside of the crankcase. An air passage is provided to supply air for pre-scavenging into the first scavenging passage at a position closer to the first scavenging intake than a position at which the second scavenging passage branches from the first scavenging passage. A first check valve inhibits a flow of air from the first scavenging passage during an upward stroke of the piston, and a second check valve inhibits a flow of air and a gaseous mixture from the first scavenging passage during a downward stroke of the piston.

Abstract: A two-stroke engine is provided with a scavenging passage that extends between a scavenging intake that opens into a crankcase and a scavenging port that opens into a cylinder, and an air passage that is connected to an intermediate position of a scavenging passage for introducing air into the scavenging passage. A first check valve that is disposed within a section of a scavenging passage between a scavenging intake and the intermediate position. A second check valve that is disposed within the air passage. The section of the scavenging passage between the intermediate position and the scavenging intake, the air passage, and a mixture gas passage are arranged in a substantially same direction with respect to a longitudinal axis of the cylinder.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil pump for use in and attached to a device (e.g., chain saw) having an oil-supplied portion requiring an oil supply. An oil pump supplies lubricating oil to a guide groove of a guide bar in such a manner that a plunger having a gear portion meshing with a drive worm provided on a chain saw reciprocally moves in a pump body while rotating. Two guide pins for positioning an oil pump when attaching the oil pump to a chain saw body are provided on an attachment surface of the pump body to the chain saw body. The two guide pins are spaced apart in an axial direction of the plunger, each disposed on a centerline of a transverse cross section of the plunger.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a tank cap including a lever member that is constrained from moving to the standing position contrary to the intention of the operator. Abstract: To provide an operation lever including a first lever that has a base end portion swingably supported to a peripheral portion of a nut member for fastening a guide bar in a chain saw, and a second lever that is engaged with the first lever in a manner slidable in an axial direction. The operation lever can be placed in a receiving portion of the nut member with an axial length thereof shortened, and can be manipulated to rotate the nut member by being gripped on an outer end portion of the second lever in a state in which the operation lever is lifted out from the receiving portion and the axial length is lengthened. Thus, a sufficient fastening force for the guide bar can be obtained, and operability can be improved.
