A method of providing instructions to a payment device, wherein instructions are generated without requiring data from the payment device, the method comprising: delivering instructions that are part of an ordered sequence of instructions to a payment device; and identifying instructions that should be applied out of sequence without preventing the delivery of subsequent instructions in a sequence. A method of receiving instructions at a payment device and a payment device are also provided.

According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, there is provided a method for receiving an electronic receipt of an electronic payment transaction into a mobile device, the method comprising: storing, into an installed application in the mobile device used to perform the electronic payment transaction, a unique transaction identity issued on the electronic payment transaction; generating, in a server, an electronic receipt issued on the electronic payment transaction; verifying that the electronic receipt matches against the unique transaction identity stored in the installed application; and receiving the electronic receipt into the mobile device in response to the verifying step determining that the electronic receipt matches against the unique transaction identity stored in the installed application. Also provided is a mobile device for receiving an electronic receipt of an electronic payment transaction and a system for receiving an electronic receipt of an electronic payment transaction into a mobile device.

Exemplary systems and methods are provided for incentivizing consumers to adjust utility usage at their premises. One exemplary method includes receiving, at a computing device, from a utility provider, a challenge defining a reduction in a utility usage by a consumer, in exchange for an incentive, and causing, by the computing device, the challenge to be delivered to the consumer. Then, when the challenge is completed, the method includes causing the incentive to be awarded to the consumer, whereby the utility provider is able to affect utility usage by the consumer through the incentive-based challenge.

A request for a payment transaction is received. The request originates from a user. The request includes a token. The token represents a virtual card account. The virtual card account is associated with a merchant's master account. The payment transaction is for crediting the merchant's master account. The virtual card account is associated with a purpose for the payment transaction. The request is mapped to the purpose for the transaction. After the mapping, a message is transmitted to the merchant. The message indicates: (a) that the payment transaction has occurred; and (b) the purpose for the transaction.
Abstract:
A transaction system for performing transactions with multiple balances within a single transaction. The transaction system comprises a payment device programmed to record multiple balances and a terminal programmed to interact with the payment device in order to complete a transaction by debiting multiple balances of the payment device within a single transaction. A method of transacting with a transaction device, a payment device and a method of providing commodities to a payment device user are also provided.

A method for scoring a payment transaction includes: storing consumer profiles, each consumer profile including a consumer identifier, contact information, and team identifier; storing merchant profiles, each merchant profile including a merchant identifier and plurality of team scores; receiving an authorization request for a payment transaction, the request including a consumer identification, merchant identification, and transaction data; identifying a specific consumer profile where the included consumer identifier corresponds to the consumer identification; identifying a specific merchant profile where the included merchant identifier corresponds to the merchant identification; identifying a transaction score for the transaction using one or more scoring rules based on the transaction data; updating, in the specific merchant profile, a team score corresponding to the team identifier included in the specific consumer profile based on the transaction score; and transmitting a notification to a consumer related to the specific consumer profile based on the included contact information.

The product information is matched with promotions and friends that want the product in their wish lists.
