摘要: This disclosure is directed to securing, with a simple structure, a head to a position in a carriage without having to fasten screws so as to prevent possible loss of a desired printing quality. A carriage is provided that includes a main housing mounted to a printing unit body, an eccentric cam rotatably disposed in the main housing, a sub housing that holds a head that ejects ink droplets. The sub housing makes contact with a cam face of the eccentric cam and is movable upward and downward relative to the main housing in response to rotation of the eccentric cam. The carriage further includes a rotation regulator that regulates rotation of the sub housing around a rotating shaft of the eccentric cam.

摘要: A printing apparatus is provided and includes: a head that ejects ink onto a medium ; a driver that relatively moves the positions of the head and the medium; a cover member that is positioned on the downstream side from the head in the movement direction of the medium relative to the head, so as to cover at least a portion of the medium; an air blowing fan that sends a drying air flow for drying ink ejected on the medium, into a gap between the medium and the cover member; and a cord type heater that heats at least one of the drying air flow and a preliminary air which is the previous stage of the drying air flow. An air-flow-direction changing wall part is provided so as to change the flow direction of the preliminary air which is the previous stage of the drying air flow, at least once.

摘要: A printing apparatus is provided and includes cover members for covering at least a portion of a conveyance path for conveying a medium. The cover members are configured such that at least a portion of a part covering a conveyance path is able to expand and contract. Therefore, if necessary, it is possible to expand or contract the area of the cover members covering the conveyance path. On the occasion of setting the medium or when a jam has occurred, it is possible to contract the cover members in the conveyance direction of the medium. Also, even if the cover members move once from the state where they cover the conveyance path, it is possible to easily return the cover members to their original positions, and it is possible to easily return the cover members to the state where they cover a portion of the conveyance path.

摘要: An adjustment mechanism is structured to adjust and fix a liquid discharge head in position on a base plate. The adjustment mechanism includes a first plate, a second plate, a pivotable cam, and a first biasing unit. The first plate is changeable in position in a circumferential direction relative to the base plate. The first plate is fixed to the base plate.
