    Abstract: A method and apparatus for adjusting transmission power in a portable two-way radio device allows the device to determine an expected battery voltage drop for a subsequent transmit event, based on present transmit power settings and battery impedance, and change the power setting for the subsequent transmit event if the battery voltage is likely to drop below a shutdown threshold at the present power setting or if the expected battery voltage drop will cause the battery voltage to be substantially above the shutdown voltage level and the present power setting is below an optimal level.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for surveillance-assisted patrol. One system includes an image capture device associated with a location, a patrol object, and a server communicatively coupled to the image capture device and the patrol object. The server includes an electronic processor configured to receive geolocation data for the patrol object. The electronic processor determines, based on the data, whether the patrol object is within a predetermined distance from the location, and, in response to determining that the patrol object is within the predetermined distance, captures a reference image of the location via the image capture device. The electronic processor accesses a second image corresponding to the location, captured at a different time than the reference image. The electronic processor compares the reference image to the second image to determine a difference. The electronic processor, in response to determining the difference, transmits, via the transceiver, a patrol alert to an electronic device.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for surveillance-assisted patrol. One system includes an image capture device associated with a location, a patrol object, and a server communicatively coupled to the image capture device and the patrol object.     Abstract: Methods and devices for battery capacity estimation. One embodiment provides a method for battery capacity estimation for a battery pack of an electronic device, the battery pack including a battery and a writeable memory. The method includes reading an accumulated charge count from the writeable memory and detecting a connection of the battery to a charger. The method also includes determining an initial state of charge of the battery when the connection of the battery to the charger is detected and determining a second state of charge of the battery. The method further includes determining a charge count change based on the initial state of charge and the second state of charge and determining a new accumulated charge count based on the charge count change and the accumulated charge count. The method also includes writing the new accumulated charge count to the writeable memory.

    Abstract: Power supply and method for supplying power. One example power supply includes a first power source, a second power source, and a control circuit. The first power source provides electrical current to a first power output terminal. The first power source also provides electrical current to a second power output terminal. The second power source has a voltage level that is lower than the first power source. The control circuit is configured to measure a load current supplied to the second power output terminal. The control circuit is also configured to compare the measured load current to a threshold. Responsive to detecting the measured load current being higher than the threshold, the control circuit is configured to connect the second power source to the second power output terminal to provide electrical current thereto.
