    Abstract: An embodiment takes the form of a method carried out by a computing system comprising a processor and instructions for carrying out the method. The method includes (i) presenting via a user interface a plurality of data-input fields having an associated default order for user entry of respective values in the respective data-input fields, (ii) receiving respective values entered via the user interface in the respective data-input fields, (iii) storing a respective current counter value of an incrementing counter in association with receiving each respective entered value, (iv) establishing a respective user-confidence level for each of one or more of the respective entered values, wherein each established user-confidence level is set based at least in part on a comparison of the associated default order with a set of one or more of the stored counter values, and (v) outputting one or more of the established user-confidence levels.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for object recognition and link integration in a composite video stream. One embodiment takes the form of a process that includes detecting an object of interest in a set of video frames. The process also includes tracking the movements of the detected object of interest across a subset of the video frames in the set of video frames. The process further includes generating a composite video stream from the video frames in the subset. The composite video stream shows the tracked movements of the detected object of interest without showing background data from the video frames in the subset. The process also includes outputting the generated composite video stream.

    Abstract: Electronic processing systems and methods for collaborating between vehicular threat detection appliances. One system includes a memory, a transceiver, an electronic processor, and a first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that is physically coupled to a first vehicle. The electronic processor is configured to identify a portion of the first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance having an obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is also configured to detect a second vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that is physically coupled to a second vehicle and has an unobstructed field-of-view of the obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is further configured to transmit a request to the second vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance to provide threat detection coverage for the first vehicle in a direction of the obstructed field-of-view. The electronic processor is also configured to temporarily disable the portion of the first vehicular 360-degree threat detection appliance that has the obstructed field-of-view.

    Abstract: A video/audio recording device is mounted on a mobile support for recording surveillance information. The recording device is movable relative to the mobile support to adjustably position the recording device to face the target along a line-of-sight during recording. A database stores public map spaces, private map spaces, and warrant spaces that exist in a geographic area to be surveilled. A programmed controller accesses the database, determines whether the target is recordable from a public map space along the line-of-sight between the recording device and the target and/or whether the target is covered by a warrant space, and controls the recording device to record the surveillance information upon a successful determination that the target is so recordable or so covered.

    Abstract: A communication system (200) comprises a radio communication device (100) comprising a controller (102) having law enforcement information (110) stored therein and a data acquisition device (108) for capturing area conditions surrounding a law enforcement vehicle or law enforcement personnel. The controller (102) detects violations of the law enforcement information based on variety of detection devices, such as video analytics. In response to a detection of a law violation by an offending vehicle, a transmitter (104) within communication device 100 generates an alert to similarly formed secondary devices (220) mounted and/or worn within the network. The system (200) provides an automated response through devices (220) by gathering additional data pertaining to the offending vehicle to detect for additional violations of the law, even across state lines.
