Abstract: A process for recognizing and responding to a detected audio inquiry by gathering information distributed amongst users and providing a calculated result includes monitoring audio communications and detecting an audio inquiry from a first electronic communication device. It is determined then the audio inquiry is of a distributed information gathering and mathematical operation type and, in response, a plurality of target electronic communication devices that are capable of providing partial answers to the audio inquiry are identified and a request for a partial answer transmitted to each. Corresponding partial answers are received and a mathematical operation performed on the partial answers to generate a final answer to the audio inquiry different from the corresponding partial answers. The final answer is then provided to the first electronic communication device.

Abstract: A process of modifying workflows associated with processing an incident scene in response to detecting contamination of the incident scene. An electronic computing device obtains a first image of an incident scene at a first point in time and analyzes the first image to detect a state of evidentiary items present at the incident scene. The device obtains a second image of the incident scene at a second point in time and detects a change in the state of the evidentiary items based on a comparison of the first and second images. When it is determined that one or more persons entered or exited the incident scene during a time period between the first point in time and the second point in time, the device detects that the incident scene has been contaminated and generates a workflow modification identifying one or more actions for execution by a workflow server.

Abstract: Techniques for reconfiguring a second camera based on a first camera are provided. An event of interest is identified at a first camera using a first analytic. The event of interest occurring in a portion of a field of view of the first camera. A second camera whose field of view includes at least a portion of the event of interest in a field of view of the second camera is identified. It is determined that the second camera is equipped with a second analytic, the second analytic not currently operating on the at least a portion of the event of interest in the field of view of the second camera. The second camera is reconfigured to perform the second analytic on the at least the portion of the event of interest in the field of view of the second camera.

Abstract: A process of extending retention periods of records. In operation, an electronic computing device identifies a retention period associated with the record. The device obtains information related to a future event. The information includes a time period during which the future event is predicted or scheduled to occur and a location at which the future event is predicted or scheduled to occur. The second device causes the output from the first device to be recorded based on the proximity of the second device to the first device. The recording from the second device is marked as redactable. A portion of the recording from the second device that includes the confidential information is redacted when the recording from the second device is output.

Abstract: A process of evaluating the expertise of participants during a group call. In operation, an electronic computing device analyzes speech content of participants on a group call to determine a call context associated with the group call. The electronic computing device then assigns an expected expertise score for the participant by correlating the call context with a participant profile and further determines a demonstrated expertise score for the participant as a function of the expected expertise score and a call participation score indicating a duration of time that the participant has spoken during the group call. When the electronic computing device detects that a decision is being made with respect to the call context, the electronic computing device provides a visual or audio output on a corresponding visual or audio output device indicating the demonstrated expertise score of at least one of the participants.

Abstract: A process of deploying a virtual assistant at an electronic media device to obtain information related to a public-safety incident. An electronic computing device captures a real-time digital audio and/or video stream from a first user under interrogation in relation to the incident and further processes the captured stream to determine that a second user has potential information related to the incident. The electronic computing device then determines that a virtual assistant is not currently deployed at an electronic media device that is identified as positioned at a current location of the second user. When it is determined that the electronic media device is capable of hosting a virtual assistant, the electronic computing device transmits an instruction to deploy a virtual assistant at the electronic media device and further perform an interrogation of the second user to obtain information related to the public-safety incident via the deployed virtual assistant.
