Abstract:
A device, system, and method for an electronic response to a potential carjacking is provided. A device receives: a location and vehicle ignition status of a vehicle; and sensor data generated by one or more sensors that are onboard the vehicle, the sensor data different from the location and the vehicle ignition status. The device determines whether the location of the vehicle is associated with a carjacking type of location, and whether a combination of the vehicle ignition status and the sensor data meet a carjacking threshold condition. When both the location of the vehicle is associated with the carjacking type of location and the carjacking threshold condition is met, the device: outputs an alert at the vehicle indicative of, or associated with, the potential carjacking; and/or causes, a notification to be transmitted to a communication device associated with a public safety agency or a monitoring service.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are methods and systems for presenting prioritized incident content. One embodiment takes the form of a method that includes receiving one or more status alerts from one or more public-safety devices associated with one or more public-safety responders. The method also includes correlating one or more of the received status alerts with one or more media sessions involving one or more of the public-safety responders. The method also includes prioritizing one or more of the media sessions based on prioritization criteria that includes the one or more status alerts correlated with those media sessions. The method also includes presenting one or more of the prioritized media sessions in a chronological view on respective user interfaces of one or more public-safety communication devices.
Abstract:
A device, method and system for implementing hardware-based package receipt procedures is provided. A device is in communication with a camera device configured to image a region adjacent a controlled access point. The device determines, using images from the camera device, that a delivery person has arrived at the controlled access point with a package. The device authenticates the package by comparing information extracted from the images with package order information indicative of one or more of the package and an intended recipient of the package. In response to authenticating the package, the devices implements one or more package receipt procedures to control receipt of the package, the one or more package receipt procedures implemented using one or more of: the camera device; a communication device located at the controlled access point; and an access control mechanism of the controlled access point.
Abstract:
A method and system of managing group calls includes receiving first and second call control signaling at a user communication entity. The user communication entity determines that the first call control signaling is associated with a first delivery method and in response thereto configures the user communication entity to receive first call data that is associated with the first call control signaling. The user communication entity determines that the second call control signaling is associated with a second delivery method. In response to determining that the second call control signaling is associated with the second delivery method, a priority associated with the second call control signaling is determined and, according to the priority associated with the second call control signaling, the user communication entity is configured to receive second call data associated with the second call control signaling.
