摘要: A communication system (100) formed of a radio management system (104) interoperates with a radio management codeplug database (106) and a confusability analyzer (108) for the creation and storage of voice recognition target strings for uploading to one or more land mobile portable radios (110) prior to field-deployment. Once the radios are deployed to the field, unrecognized voice command entries are determined, stored locally at the portable radio, and uploaded to cloud based storage (122). Analysis of the cloud based data is performed through a voice control analytics engine (124) to detect patterns associated with the unrecognized voice commands. The unrecognized voice command pattern is processed though a resolution action engine (126) to generate one or more resolution actions for the pattern.

摘要: A portable radio (100) provides a voice control feature which advantageously enables radio users to perform talk group changes by using voice as an input medium to the radio device. Activation of a voice control button (110) and verbal entry of a valid talk group control command enables a change in talk group. The portable radio (100) comprises a controller (102) having a code plug (120) pre-programmed with a plurality of talk group alias names, and an automatic speech recognition (ASR) engine (118) providing voice control entry detection to the portable radio. The controller (102) enables a change in talk group in response to the ASR engine (118) detecting that the voice control entry is a valid talk group control command. Shortened audible confirmations of talk group change are generated using the alias names.

摘要: Improved user authentication of a communication device is provided by expanding voice biometric authentication with a dynamically updated user profile formed of non-voice usage parameters. The non-voice usage parameters are collected during successful voice authentications to establish non-voice compensation controls. When a failed voice biometric authentication attempt is followed by a valid PIN entry, then a false rejection is determined, and a voice biometric threshold is adjusted to reduce the individual user-based false rejection rate along with the enablement of the non-voice usage controls.

摘要: A communication system (150) provides a portable radio (100) that retrieves public safety records in response to a verbal query entered thereto. The communication system (150) includes a bot gateway (122) for accessing and retrieving the public safety records from a plurality of remote public safety databases in response to the verbal query entered into the portable radio. The bot gateway (122) determines a criticality level for the retrieved public safety records. The bot gateway (122) temporarily stores the retrieved public safety records and sends a criticality code to the portable radio. The portable radio generates user alerts indicating the criticality level of the retrieved public safety records based on the code. The portable radio plays out the bot-retrieved search results in response to a further user input to the portable radio.

摘要: A method and apparatus for determining a unique wake word for devices within an incident. One system includes an electronic computing device comprising a transceiver and an electronic processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. The electronic processor is configured to receive a notification indicative of an occurrence of an incident and one or more communication devices present at the incident, determine contextual information associated with the incident and the one or more communication devices, and identify one or more wake words based on the contextual information. The electronic processor is further configured to determine a phonetic distance for each pair of wake words included in the one or more wake words, and select a unique wake word from the one or more wake words for each communication device of the one or more communication devices based on the determined phonetic distance.

摘要: A method and server for determining the current location of a person of interest (POI) is provided. The server receives a first indication that a first searcher has identified a POI and requests first route information from the first searcher. Upon receiving the first route information from the first searcher, the server determines if second route information relating to the person of interest has been received from a second searcher. If so, the server determines a search area for the person of interest based at least in part upon the first route information and the second route information.
