This invention relates to an image forming apparatus of electro-photography type in which a light image obtained by reflected light from an original document image by projecting light onto the original document image is changed in size at a set magnification rate to form an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive member, and the electrostatic latent image is developed into a toner image. The image forming apparatus includes: a magnification rate setting unit with a lens and a reflective mirror for determining a magnification rate of the light image; lens moving means for moving the lens between a first position and a second position; reflective mirror moving means for moving the reflective mirror between a third position and a fourth position along the optical path; and movement controlling means for controlling the lens moving means to move the lens and the reflective mirror between the first position and the second position and between the third position and the fourth position by respective predetermined distances upon receiving a command signal.

Also, a louver rotational speed while the louver is moved rotationally over the blowing angle .theta..sub.1 is set to a speed .omega..sub.1 within a vortices non-generation area relative to the wind velocity of blowing air flow. Thereby, at the time of heating, downward reach of warm air in a room while the louver is moved rotationally below the predetermined blowing angle and a temperature diffusibility while the louver is moved rotationally above the predetermined blowing angle are improved. Further, an air conditioner in which, at the time of cooling, a uniformity of temperature distribution is improved is also provided.

In a two-stage compression refrigeration cycle device, a low-pressure side compression mechanism and a high-pressure side compression mechanism are intermittently operated to control such that the temperature of air blown into a freezer approaches a target temperature. Under the control, the high-pressure side compression mechanism is first stopped, and then the low-pressure side compression mechanism is stopped. Further, when a reference time has elapsed after driving the high-pressure side compression mechanism, then the low-pressure side compression mechanism is driven. The refrigeration cycle device can reduce a high-pressure side pressure difference upon driving the high-pressure side compression mechanism, and can also reduce a low-pressure side pressure difference upon driving the low-pressure side compression mechanism, thereby protecting both compression mechanisms.

The present invention provides a propeller fan having a blade trailing edge of a sawtooth shape, in which the flows on the negative pressure side and the pressure side of a blade join gradually, so that the velocity loss is decreased in the vicinity of the trailing edge. As a result, the velocity gradient decreases and the generation of turbulence is reduced as compared with the conventional propeller fan, so that the noise is reduced and the fan efficiency is enhanced.

When the forward movement of the sheet material fed by the feed roller assembly is hampered by the temporary hampering assembly, the rotation of the driven roller is stopped by the resistance of the sheet material exerted on the driven roller in spite of the rotation of the driven shaft.
