    摘要: An optical system capable of outputting hi-contrast images and multi-primary color or 3-dimensional images is provided. Light in primary colors RGB modulated in a first modulation optical system is transmitted through a relay lens 36 and further divided into a P-polarized light and an S-polarized light by a PS separation wire grid 37. The S-polarized light is transmitted through a wavelength spectral filter 39 to select red/green/blue light components R1, G1, B1 of 615, 515, 450 nm in wavelength, which are then modulated by a Y1 device 44. The P-polarized light is transmitted through a wavelength spectral filter 46 to select red/green/blue light components R2, G2, B2 of 650, 550, 475 nm in wavelength, which are then modulated by a Y2 device 51. The 3-primary color lights modulated by the Y1/Y2 devices 44, 51 are combined with each other at a PS composite wire grid 55 to project a synthetic light on a screen.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium comprising the steps of: (1) providing a lower layer comprising a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder on a non-magnetic support and (2) providing an upper layer comprising a ferromagnetic powder dispersed in a binder on the lower layer, wherein a solvent used in a magnetic coating composition for the lower layer contains at least 30 wt % of an organic solvent having an evaporation rate index of less than 50; a solvent used in a magnetic coating composition for the upper layer contains from 0 to 40 wt % of an organic solvent having an evaporation rate index of less than 50; the content of an organic solvent having an evaporation rate index of less than 50 in the coating composition for the upper layer is smaller than that in the coating composition for the lower layer; the magnetic coating composition for the upper layer is coated while the lower layer is not dried; and when the lower and upper layers are dried until the total solvent content of the lower and upper layers is in the range of from 0.05 to 3 wt %, a calendering treatment is carried out.

    摘要: An optical system attaining a nearly double resolving power in spite of one projector and also eliminating a convergence device is provided. The system includes an 1:1 relay lens in place of a projector lens of a RGB split-combine projection system, and a quarter-wave plate for P-S polarization separation. In operation, once-modulated RGB composite light is divided into a P-polarized light and a S-polarized light by a PS separation wire grid. The S-polarized light is modulated by a luminance signal Y1 at a Y1 device. The P-polarized light is modulated by a luminance signal Y2 at a Y2 device. The lights modulated by the Y1/Y2 devices are combined with each other at a PS composite wire grid to project a synthetic light on a screen.

    摘要: A liquid crystal display device for an overhead projector has a light-transmissive liquid crystal display cell sandwiched between protective plates both from above and below. At least one of these protective plates is separated from the cell surface to form an air passage provided with a fan such that air can be caused to flow therethrough and come into direct contact with the cell. The cell can thus be cooled efficiently and the light of the projector can be increased for projecting a clearer image.
