    摘要: A laser exposure system includes an electrically-controlled diffraction grating which can be controlled to be in a first state where the incident light beam is undiffracted and a second state where the incident light beam is diffracted into a plurality of light beams including a zero-order light beam and first and second diffracted light beams. An aperture structure which passes the first and second diffracted light beams while blocking the zero-order light beam. A polarization rotator rotates a polarization state of the second diffracted light, and a polarization beam combiner combines the first diffracted light beam and the polarization-rotated second diffracted light beam onto a common path forming a combined light beam. An optical element focuses the combined light beam onto an imaging medium. A controller controls the state of the electrically-controlled diffraction grating in accordance with pixel data to form a printed image.

    摘要: A display assembly includes a convex lens, a light-absorbing layer, and a refractive index-adjustable layer disposed therebetween. The refractive index-adjustable layer has a refractive index adjustable between less than, and no less than, a critical value, configured such that a light incident into the convex lens has a total reflection if the refractive index of the refractive index-adjustable layer is less than the critical value, and transmits through the refractive index-adjustable layer and reaches the light-absorbing layer for absorption if the refractive index of the refractive index-adjustable layer is no less than the critical value. The critical value can be a refractive index of the convex lens if it is in direct contact with the refractive index-adjustable layer, or can be a refractive index of a transparent film layer disposed between the convex lens and the refractive index-adjustable layer and in direct contact with the refractive index-adjustable layer.

    摘要: There is provided an illumination device comprising: a wavelength converting layer comprising a photon emitting donor configured to absorb energy to reach an excited state, and a photon emitting acceptor; an energy source configured to provide energy to the donor such that the donor reach the excited state; wherein the donor and the acceptor are selected and arranged at a distance from each other such that non-radiative transfer of excitation energy from the donor to the acceptor occur, and wherein the acceptor is configured to emit a photon at a second wavelength after the transfer of energy; the illumination device further comprising a periodic plasmonic antenna array, arranged on the substrate and embedded within the wavelength converting layer, and comprising a plurality of individual antenna elements arranged in an antenna array plane, the plasmonic antenna array being configured to support a first lattice resonance at the second wavelength, arising from coupling of localized surface plasmon resonances in the individual antenna elements to photonic modes supported by the system comprising the plasmonic antenna array and the wavelength converting layer, wherein the plasmonic antenna array is configured to comprise plasmon resonance modes such that light emitted from the plasmonic antenna array has an anisotropic angle distribution.

    摘要: Provided is a vehicle having a support structure attached to the front of the vehicle in which is mounted a windshield. The windshield comprises a hinge and a top mount allowing the windshield to fold up for improved upper body safety and improved air circulation. The windshield comprises an upper windshield portion, a bottom windshield portion connected to the upper windshield portion, and a rotatable device attaching the upper portion to the bottom portion where the upper windshield portion is an upper fixed windshield portion and the bottom windshield portion is a bottom movable windshield portion. The upper windshield portion is a fixed portion and is comprised of clips or clamps configured to latch the bottom windshield portion in a folded position over the upper fixed windshield portion.
