    摘要: A device applicable to an electrophotographic color copier or a color ink jet printer for selectively supplying visualizing liquids of different colors, e.g. black, red, green and blue or a mixture thereof to a photoconductive drum, paper or like recording medium to form a visible image on the medium which corresponds to an image of an original document. The device includes a black liquid vessel, a red liquid vessel, a blue liquid vessel, and a cleaning liquid vessel. The liquids from the various vessels are selectively fed to the device and, after a visualizing operation or a cleaning operation, selectively returned to the respective vessels by two switching units. Residual toner particles are returned to the black liquid vessel. A purifying member for capturing toner or like visualizing agent which is contained in the black liquid is situated between an overflow port of the black liquid vessel and the other liquid vessels and cleaning liquid vessel. Each of the liquid vessels other than the black and cleaning vessel is provided with an overflow port at a slightly higher level than a liquid level upper limit thereof, an effluent vessel communicating to those overflow ports. Another effluent vessel is communicated to the overflow port of the black liquid vessel.

    摘要: A developing apparatus in a transfer-type electrophotographic system having a photosensitive body, wherein the developing apparatus includes a developing roller spaced a small distance from the photosensitive body for supplying a developing solution to the photosensitive body to develop a latent image thereon and to induce a potential on the developing roller through the developing solution from the photosensitive body. A cleaning member is held against the developing roller. In one embodiment, the potential of the developing roller is limited to a level intermediate between predetermined upper and lower limits, and a developing roller is switched into an electrically floating condition except during development of an image. In another embodiment, a developing bias potential is produced responsive to the potential of the developing roller. This bias potential is applied to the developing roller which is used as a developing electrode.

    摘要: A device for supplying a developing solution in a wet-type electrophotographic copying machine has a scraper pressed against a developing roller positioned in confronting relation to a latent-image carrier or photosensitive drum. The scraper and the developing roller jointly form a space of a V-shaped cross section which serves to form a pool of the developing solution. When the developing roller is rotated, the developing solution is drawn upwardly out of the solution pool and uniformly covers the circumferential surface of the developing roller whereupon it is transferred to the latent-image carrier. The apparatus provides a simple way of eliminating air bubbles from the developing solution before it is applied to the latent-image carrier and for applying the developing solution uniformly to the surface of the latent-image carrier.

Mists are produced from a liquid developer which is a toner-dispersed carrier liquid containing silicone oil during developing, image transferring and fixing steps. The mists and the ozone are discharged to the outside of the equipment by a fan. A filter liquifies the mists and ozone by mixing them together. Errors are detected on the basis of ozone concentration which is sensed by an ozone concentration sensor.

    摘要: A transfer apparatus is provided of the type in which a toner image formed on a photosensitive member is transferred onto a transfer or copy sheet. The apparatus is used in a copying machine of a so-called delivery type in which the sheet is conveyed using a sheet gripper. During the transfer of a toner image, the appartus applies a corona discharge to the rear side of the sheet which is of the opposite polarity from that of the toner image. The apparatus comprises a diaphragm member for restricting an opening of a transfer charger and disposed between the transfer charger and the photosensitive member, the diaphragm member being movable away from the photosensitive member as the sheet gripper passes between the transfer charger and the photosensitive member.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus in which a transfer device is provided in a position separated from an image carrier. A transfer sheet is conveyed along and contacting a part of a circumferential surface of the image carrier facing the transfer device when transferring a toner image from the image carrier to the transfer sheet.
