    摘要： A butadiene polymer composition containing a phenolic compound represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are each independently a group represented by --C(CH.sub.3).sub.2 --R' in which R' is an alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms or phenyl, and R.sub.4 is hydrogen or methyl, and a phosphorus-containing compound represented by the formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are each independently an alkyl having 1 to 9 carbon atoms.The composition is stable against the thermal deterioration and discoloration in the absence of oxygen as well as against the exposure to oxides of nitrogen gas.

    摘要： A compound represented by the formula of ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl having 1 to 5 carbon atoms;R.sub.2 represents an alkyl having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, an alkenyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, an aralkyl having 7 to 9 carbon atoms, phenyl, an aliphatic acyl having 2 to 5 carbon atoms, or benzoyl;R.sub.3 represents hydrogen or an alkyl having 1 to 11 carbon atoms; andR.sub.4 represents hydrogen or methyl.The compound is useful as a stabilizer for synthetic resins such as butadiene polymers. The butadiene polymer containing the compound is stable against thermal deterioration in the absence of oxygen, as well as against thermal oxidative deeterioration and thermal oxidative discoloration.

    摘要： A bisphenol monoester represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or alkyl, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each alkyl, and R.sup.4 is alkyl, alkenyl or phenyl, is produced by continuous two step reactions in which an aldehyde R.sup.1 -CHO and 2,4-dialkylphenol are subjected to a condensation reaction in a C.sub.6 -C.sub.10 aliphatic or C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 aromatic hydrocarbon solvent, and then a resulting bisphenol compound dissolved in the solvent is subjected to an esterification with a carboxylic acid R.sup.4 --COOH or its derivative. Prior to the esterification, the organic layer containing the bisphenol compound is subjected to a dehydration treatment, thereby enabling the two steps to proceed continuously without isolating the intermediate bisphenol compound. A purification process for the bisphenol monoester of the formula (I) is also disclosed in which the monoester is purified from a mixed solvent comprising a C.sub.6 -C.sub.12 aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and a C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 alcohol or C.sub.2 -C.sub.3 aliphatic nitrile solvent.
