摘要: A compact and one time use, self-administration device (10) for administering medication is disclosed. The device includes a housing (12) having a start button (26), a status indicator (28), a window (30), and a surface removably attachable to a user. The device (10) has a cartridge holder (34) providing in an aseptic environment a cartridge (32) containing the medication. The cartridge (32) is viewable through the cartridge holder (34) and the window (30). An included drive unit (42) provides a movable plunger (126) that breaks through a sterile barrier (130) of the cartridge holder (34) to dispense the medication from the cartridge (32) to an hollow needle (38) for administering the medication into the user. 摘要: According to one embodiment, a cannula assembly may include a cannula module and an inserter module. In the pre-operational state the cannula is retracted with respect to the skin-contacting surface. In operational state the cannula projects beyond the skin-contacting surface. The inserter module may include an energy store and an activation mechanism. When the energy store is at least partially discharged, the stored potential energy is transformed to kinetic energy that moves the cannula from the pre-operational state to the operational state. The activation mechanism is triggerable from outside the cannula assembly with a trigger device. The activation mechanism prevents the energy store from being discharged before it is triggered by the trigger device, and enables the energy store to be discharge after it is triggered by the trigger device to force the cannula from the pre-operational state into the operational state.

摘要: A patient device includes a case and a user interface for interaction between a patient and the patient device. The case may include a projection unit which projects information onto a surface separate from the case. The user interface may include a display unit for displaying information relating to the patient device integrated into the case and an additional display unit for displaying information relating to the patient device, which is external to the case. The externally provided display unit may be coupled to the case such that it can be at least one of folded, tilted, pulled out or unrolled relative to the case.

摘要: According to one embodiment, a medical device may include an energy supply. The energy supply may include a lithium-ion polymer battery including at least two battery stacks and a control unit. One of the at least two battery stacks may be a backup energy source. The control unit may monitor and control the energy supply such that when the control unit detects a fault in the at least two battery stacks, the control unit disconnects a faulty battery stack. The energy supply may be rechargeable. Each of the at least two battery stacks may include a positive potential terminal, a negative potential terminal and one or more battery cell.

摘要: The anchorage for dental prosthetics includes a male member which is attachable to a tooth and comprises, in a preferred embodiment, a ball head, and a female member which is attachable to a dental prosthesis. The female member comprises an internal thread and a lamellar insert having a threaded portion for receiving and retaining the ball head, the retention force of the lamellar insert being continuously adjustable by rotation thereof. A female member of this kind with a screwed lamellar insert allows a fine adjustment of the retention of the male member in accordance with the actual conditions.

摘要: A medical liquid transfer system includes a pump configured to transfer liquid between at least two containers. A detachable connector is detachably secured to the pump. The detachable connector has at least one pump passage to transmit pumping pressure from the pump to at least one of the containers. The detachable connector can include one or more liquid impermeable and gas permeable membranes to ensure the liquid is retained in the detachable connector. After the fluid is transferred the detachable connector is removed and replaced by a new one in order to prevent contamination of the pump. An interlock mechanism is used to prevent premature removal of the detachable connector and/or the container being filled.

摘要: An ambulatory medical device is disclosed. The device comprises a device controller, an alert controller, and an indicator. The device controller may be configured to control the operation of the ambulatory medical device. The alert controller may be configured to: determine a first alerting interval, the first alerting interval defining an earliest point in time and a latest point in time for an alert generation due to a first alerting cause; determine in the first alerting interval an alerting point in time based on an alerting criterion; and generate an alert trigger at the alerting point in time. The indicator may be configured to generate an alert upon generation of the alert trigger. The alerting criterion may be used to generate an alert within the alerting interval at a time especially suited and/or convenient for the device user.
