    摘要: This invention provides polymers useful in coating compositions. The polymers are prepared via a free radical polymerization using ethylenically unsaturated monomers. The polymers of this invention possess pendant allylic groups which are capable of effecting free-radical flux when the compositions are applied to a substrate and exposed to oxygen. Coatings formed from preferred compositions possess superior solvent, print, and block resistance.

    摘要: Surfactant-containing acetoacetoxy-functional polymers (SAAP's) are described. The acetoacetoxy-functional polymer may be a surfactant-containing enamine-functional polymer and more preferably a surfactant-containing, polymeric (polyamino)enamine (PPAE). The PPAE is the reaction product of a surfactant-containing acetoacetoxy-functional polymer (SAAP) and a poly(alkylenimine). The polymers may be prepared as waterborne polymer compositions, such as latexes. The waterborne polymer compositions can be prepared with high solids content while maintaining low viscosity. Waterborne polymer compositions containing the polymers of the inventions are useful in a variety of coating formulations such as, for example, paints, inks, sealants, and adhesives. When used in coating formulations, the polymers of the invention provide adhesion and crosslinking in the final film or coating. The film or coating may be cured at ambient temperatures or may be thermally cured.

    摘要: This invention provides the composition, preparation, and end-use of waterborne crosslinking technology based compositions prepared from water-based latexes. The invention provides a water-based latex comprising dispersed, waterborne amino-functional polymer particles; dispsered, waterborne acetoacetoxy-functional polymer particles; and water. In a preferred embodiment, a latex of the invention comprises dipsered, waterborne polymeric (polyamino)enamine (PPAE) particles; dispersed, waterborne acetoacetoxy-functional polymer particles; and water. The PPAE is the reaction product of a surfactant-stabilized acetoacetoxy-functional polymer (SAAP) and a poly(alkylenimine). The water-based latexes of the invetion provide stable emulsions containing a blend of waterborne polymer particles which undergo crosslinking upon film formation. The latex films or coatings may be cured at ambient temperatures or may be thermally cured.     摘要: This invention provides the composition, preparation, and end-use of waterborne crosslinking technology based compositions prepared from water-based latexes. The invention provides a water-based latex comprising dispersed, waterborne amino-functional polymer particles; dispersed, waterborne pendant-functional polymer particles; and water. The waterborne pendant-functional polymer comprises at least one pendant amine reactive functional moiety selected from the group consisting of carbonate, epoxide, isocyanate, isopropenyl, carboxylic acid, and allyl groups.     摘要: Provided are allyl-functional polymers having pendant enamine moieties and preferably also possessing pendant methacrylate groups. The presence of such groups in the polymer allows for a free-radical crosslinking reaction to take place during film formation and provides coatings having superior solvent resistance. Amino-containing waterborne particles can be prepared by reacting propylene imine with carboxylic acid-containing latexes. The amino-functionalized latexes are subsequently reacted at room temperature with for example acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate. During ambient and thermal cure studies, clear films exhibited significant increases in solvent resistance, gel fraction, and crosslink density.
