摘要： According to a drive control method and apparatus, an offset printing section and an intaglio printing section are connected together by a gear train. Separately from an offset printing section prime motor for driving an entire sheet-fed printing press, an intaglio printing section auxiliary motor is provided in the intaglio printing section where load is heaviest and load variations are great. By so doing, the entire sheet-fed printing press is driven by the offset printing section prime motor and the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor. Moreover, the electric current value (driving torque value) of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor is controlled in accordance with an electric current value (torque value) for driving the offset printing section prime motor, the torque distribution rate of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor, and the rated electric current value of the intaglio printing section auxiliary motor.

摘要： A rotary screen printing press includes, a rotary screen cylinder which supports a screen printing forme and is supported rotatably; an impression cylinder which is provided to oppose the rotary screen cylinder, and is supported rotatably; and a squeegee which is located within the rotary screen cylinder and, during printing, contacts an inner peripheral surface of the screen printing forme, while being pressed against it, to transfer ink stored within the rotary screen cylinder to a material to be printed, which is held on the impression cylinder, via holes of the screen printing forme. The printing press has a setting instrument for setting the length in the transport direction of the material to be printed, and a squeegee throw-on and throw-off control device for controlling the squeegee to be moved to a retreat position in accordance with the length in the transport direction of the material to be printed which has been set by the setting instrument.

摘要： A pile board inserting machine comprises two pile board inserting units installed in combination respectively with the two sheet piling units of a sheet-fed printing press. Printed sheet are delivered alternately to the two pile board inserting units every time a predetermined number of printed sheets are delivered to each sheet piling unit, and the pile board inserting unit associated with the inoperative sheet piling unit is operated to insert a pile board while the sheet piling unit is at rest. Each pile board inserting unit comprises a lifting bar for lifting stacked pile boards, a pile board inserting mechanism for pushing the top pile board into the sheet piling unit, a lower limit detecting switch for detecting the arrival of the lifting bard at a lowermost position, an automatic start switch which starts lifting bar raising operation only when the lower limit detecting switch is closed, warning devices which provides an alarm upon the reduction of the number of pile boards on the lifting bars to a predetermined number, and stopping devices for stopping the printing press after the duration of the alarm has exceeded a predetermined time. The pile board is inserted automatically into the sheet piling unit, and the operator is warned of the reduction of the pile board on the lifting bars by the alarm.

摘要： Disclosed is a contact-pressure adjusting method and a contact-pressure adjusting system, each of which automatically adjusts the contact pressure between two rotors, for a liquid application machine including: a first rotor to which liquid is supplied; a second rotor to which the liquid is supplied from the first rotor; and a contact-pressure adjusting unit for adjusting the contact pressure between the first rotor and the second rotor. By using a temperature measuring unit, measured is: the temperature of at least one of the surfaces of the first and second rotors; the temperature of at least one of the liquid on the surface of the first rotor and the liquid on the surface of the second rotor; or the temperature of at least one of the vicinity of the first rotor and the vicinity of the second rotor. The contact-pressure adjusting unit is adjusted in accordance with the measured temperature.
