摘要： An electronic device, such as a personal computer, has a rectangular main body including a bottom wall and a side wall which has an opening. A circuit board is arranged in the main body to oppose the bottom wall within a predetermined distance. The circuit board and the bottom wall define a mounting space therebetween. An expansion board is mounted in the mounting space and detachable through the bottom wall and the side wall. A connector is fixed to and electrically connected to the circuit board and located between the circuit board and the bottom wall. The connector has a connecting portion opposing the opening and allowing connection of the expansion board thereto. The connector also supports the circuit board. A restraining system is provided for restraining movement of the connector with respect to the bottom wall.

摘要： A personal computer includes a main body having a stepped portion formed in a front portion of an upper surface of the main body. The stepped portion has a bottom surface lower in level than the upper surface. A keyboard is detachably placed in the stepped portion so that when a display rotatably mounted on the main body is rotated to its closed position, it is clamped between the display and the bottom surface of the stepped portion. The keyboard is arranged in such a manner that when it is removed from the stepped portion it is capable of being used by an operator. The keyboard is connected electrically to the electronic components in the main body and a storage portion is provided in the keyboard and the lid for storing the extensible cord. A circuit board is arranged in the main body to oppose the upper surface and has a holding portion for detachably holding a CPU. The main body has an opening formed in the bottom surface to allow access to the holding portion, and a lid detachably disposed on the bottom surface to close the opening.

A keyboard is detachably placed in the stepped portion so that when a display rotatably mounted on the main body is rotated to its closed position, it is clamped between the display and the bottom surface of the stepped portion. A protruding portion protrudes from the bottom surface of the stepped portion and extends through a through hole formed in the keyboard so to restrain the movement of the keyboard when the keyboard is mounted in the stepped portion. The protruding portion has an abutment portion which is brought into contact with the display rotated to the closed position and supports the display. When the display is rotated to the closed position, a hook on the display engages an engagement portion formed in the protruding portion.

摘要： An expanding apparatus for expanding functions of a personal computer includes a support assembly for supporting a connector of the expanding apparatus to be movable in a predetermined direction between a stand-by position and a pushed-in position for engaging and disengaging a connector of the expanding apparatus from the personal computer. The support assembly includes a support member to which the connector of the expanding apparatus is attached. The support assembly has a plurality of guide holes. A plurality of guide members extend from a main body of the expanding apparatus, in the predetermined direction, through respective guide holes. Each of the guide members has an extended end, with a stopper provided on the extended end for abutting the support member when the support assembly is in the stand-by position. The stopper thus limits the movement of the connector. The extended end of each guide member has a diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the guide holes, and each of the guide members is tapered off toward the main body.

An ejector mechanism includes an operating knob 280 and a pair of pushers 242a, 242b provided on both sides of the second connector, for pushing the rear surface of the computer so as to release the connection between the first and second connectors and to eject the computer from the connecting position.

摘要： A personal computer includes a box-shaped body having a rear surface provided with a first connector. The box-shaped body is mountable on an expanding apparatus having a second connector, in a manner which joins the first and second connectors, to expand the functions of the personal computer. The expanding apparatus includes an ejector mechanism for pushing the box-shaped body away from the expanding apparatus so that the first and second connectors are disconnected. A lock mechanism locks the box-shaped body to the expanding apparatus when the first and second connectors are connected. An interlock mechanism unlocks the lock mechanism when the ejector mechanism is operated. The expanding apparatus includes a grounding mechanism which moves a metal fitting into contact with the box-shaped body when the first and second connectors are connected and moves the metal fitting out of contact with the box-shaped body when the first and second connectors are disconnected.

At least a set of paths for a fluid fuel and a gas for burning the fuel is positioned in a multi-function lance, namely in the water-cooled jacket, and a combustion burner is provided at a downstream end of the path. By using the multi-function lance according to the present invention, not only a safer and shorter preheating operation is enabled, but also oxygen lancing, temperature elevation of molten steel, and heating of the vacuum degassing apparatus itself are smoothly realized.

摘要： A sterilizing apparatus for sterilizing a hollow prism-shaped carton open at both ends includes a sterilizing station, a drying station, and a solution-removing station located between the sterilizing station and the drying station. The solution-removing station has a solution-removing device which rotates intermittently in synchronism with carton conveyers. The solution-removing device includes a plurality of thin and long mandrels extending in a radial direction and spaced apart from each other at regular intervals. Each mandrel supports a carton and has a nozzle which supplies the aseptic air from an aseptic air source into the carton.
