    摘要: The present invention provides a photo-alignment layer for a liquid crystal display device, which has good liquid crystal display device characteristics such as a good voltage holding ratio and also has good alignment stability and sufficient resistance to light and heat. The photo-alignment layer is manufactured by coating a polymerizable monomer having at least one photo-alignment moiety, which carries out a photo-alignment function by the photo dimerization reaction, and at least two polymerizable maleimide groups per molecule on a substrate, and exposing the coating layer to light to cause the photo dimerization reaction of the structural unit and the photopolymerization reaction of the polymerizable maleimide group, thereby to form a crosslinked polymeric layer and to enable the polymeric layer to carry out the photo-alignment function.

    摘要: In order to reduce an impact noise which is made when a pen lifting rail (5) is swung up into contact with a pen support arm (4) in a writing apparatus wherein the arm is swung up and down by swinging the rail up and down, in the present invention, immediately before the pen lifting rail (5) being swung up by de-energizing a solenoid, which is energized to swing down the rail, comes into contact with the bottom of the pen support arm (4), the solenoid is instantaneously energized to slow down the upward swinging of the rail to reduce the impact noise.

    摘要: An optical recording medium of the type whereby information is recorded and reproduced by utilizing a change of the reflectance of an irradiated portion, caused by irradiating a recording film formed on a substrate with laser beams is described. The recording film in this optical recording medium has a three-layer structure comprised of a layer containing at least tin and selenium and layers of a passive state-forming metal or an oxide thereof, contiguous to both sides of said layer containing tin and selenium. A film of a phthalocyanine compound having a light transmission of at least 80% at a wavelength of 770 to 850 nm is disposed between the recording film and the substrate.
