    摘要: A stereophonic sound reproduction system comprises a first signal converter receptive of an audio signal for converting it into a binaural signal containing information as to the localization of the original sound source at a desired location in a listening area, and a second signal converter for converting the binaural signal into a signal containing no acoustic components which would produce the effect of crosstalk between listener's ears when the signal is reproduced in the listening area. A sound field expansion system is also disclosed which includes a converter which processes an input signal for generating an acoustic signal which localizes virtual sound sources so that the listener is given the impression of an expanded listening area.

    摘要: Each of quadraphonic signals is applied to a respective one of a plurality of binaural localization networks to deliver a pair of binaurally correlated output signals to a respective one of a plurality of crosstalk cancellation networks where the input signals are modified so as to eliminate acoustic crosstalk which might be perceived by a listener if the non-modified signals were directly used to produce sound waves. The output signals from each crosstalk cancellation network are a pair of crosstalk-free signals which are combined in adders with signals from the other crosstalk cancellation networks to deliver a plurality of localized output signals to loudspeakers. The localization networks are so adjusted to make the localized output signals to appear to originate from anywhere in front of a listener.

    摘要: A binaural four-channel stereophony comprises at least two dummy heads each provided with microphones at the ears of the dummy to pick up signals from various sound sources or groups of sound sources. The binaural signals representing each sound source or a group of sound sources are coupled to an acoustic crosstalk cancellation circuit and eventually applied to two front or two rear loudspeakers. Each sound source or group of sound sources is localized between adjacent ones of the four speakers to simulate the binaural effect produced in a closed-circuit type binaural sound reproducing system.

    摘要: A spread spectrum modulation unit (12) performs spread spectrum clocking processing for a basic clock signal (BC) synchronized with the carrier frequency or its harmonic frequency of image information leaked from an unwanted electromagnetic wave. A modulation pattern generation unit (13) generates and outputs, as a modulation pattern signal (MP), a PN code having sign bit data synchronized with each pulse of the obtained spread spectrum clock signal SC. In addition, the modulation pattern generation unit (13) resets the repetition period of the PN code based on a horizontal sync signal (H). A modulated clock generation unit (14) modulates the spread spectrum clock signal (SC) in accordance with the modulation pattern signal (MP). The obtained modulated clock signal (MC) is amplified, generating a leakage prevention signal (JC). A leakage prevention signal containing a sideband component of a satisfactory level can be generated, obtaining a useful leakage prevention effect.

    摘要: Prerecorded audio or video information signals including address data indicating the location of synchronized signals from a plurality of synchronized sources are supplied to a single separation circuit via a switching circuit. The separation circuit, selectively connected to one of the signal sources via the switching circuit, separates the address data from the audio or video information of the connected signal source. A register connected to the separation circuit receives the separated address data which constantly updates the register contents. At least one counter is reset to the contents of the register each time a newly selected signal source is connected to the separation circuit to load the address data of the previously connected signal source into that counter. At regular intervals one binary increment is added to the counter address data so that the counter count value corresponds to the address data of the previously connected signal source. The output of the register is a representation of the address of the signal source that is connected to the separation circuit at any instant of time.

    摘要: A digital editing system includes first and second memories in which audio data and weighting factor data are respectively stored. The audio data are sequentially retrieved from the first memory and multiplied by corresponding weighting factor data retrieved from the second memory. A coincidence detector detects when predetermined storage locations of the memories are addressed. The weighting factor data has a unity or zero value during the time prior to the occurrence of an output from the detector, whereupon it changes its value as a function of time until it reaches to zero or unity and remains at the final value thereafter. The direction of variation of the weighting factor data can be appropriately selected to modify the audio data into a so-called "fade out" of "fade-in" pattern at a desired point of the audio program. A pair of such editing systems is required for editing audio programs from different sources for storing such programs in a pair of first memories. Weighting factor data respectively stored in the second memories vary in opposite directions so that the audio data from the first memories are modified into "fade-out" and "fade-in" patterns which are combined in an adder to create a single, continuous audio program.
