摘要: A normal automatic accompaniment performance is executed in accordance with an accompaniment pattern read out from a pattern memory. When a special performance is designated such as an intro, fill-in or ending performance, a modification suitable for the special performance is applied to a accompaniment pattern read out from the memory, so that the special performance is inserted in accordance with the thus-modified accompaniment pattern. At that time, the pattern may be modified by desired modifier data describing a manner of modifying the pattern. The pattern modification can be diversified by setting an individual modification condition to each musical instrument part of the accompaniment pattern in correspondence to the designated modifier. A memory is provided for storing a number of modifier data, and a further arrangement is provided for freely editing the modifier data stored in the memory. A still further arrangement is provided for dislaying the accompaniment pattern in the pre-modification state and the accompaniment pattern in the post-modification state for a visual comparison therebetween. There are also provided various methods to designated a desired modifier as well as various pattern modifying methods.

摘要: A pattern memory stores plural accompaniment patterns for each of plural accompaniment components, and each of the accompaniment components is composed of one or more musical instrument parts. An operator is provided for selecting a desired accompaniment pattern for each of the components, and the accompaniment patterns correspond, in accordance with a predetermined rule, to different possible manners in which the operator is actuated, so that a specific accompaniment pattern corresponding to a manner in which the operator is actually actuated. A new accompaniment pattern is registered into the pattern memory in accordance with the predetermined rule. Information indicative of the predetermined rule may be shown on a display. The pattern memory may store accompaniment patterns for each of plural different accompaniment styles, and specific accompaniment patterns may by shared between the accompaniment styles. There are proposed various variations to select a desired accompaniment pattern for each accompaniment component. Further, it is also possible to selectively read out a predetermined part of a specific accompaniment pattern and to set such a condition to prevent a specific accompaniment from being read out. Moreover, it is possible to read out a specific accompaniment pattern which satisfies a predetermined retrieval condition or which is close to a desired accompaniment pattern. It is also possible to read out plural accompaniment patterns in sequence for sequential reproductive performance.

摘要: In a portable communication terminal apparatus, a transmitter and receiver conducts either of a transmission and receipt of a message. A tone generator generates a sequence of tones to sound a music melody of a song in association with either of the transmission and the receipt of the message. A music composer is provided for inputting a motif melody comprised of a rhythm and a pitch and for composing the music melody of the song based on the inputted motif melody. The music composer may automatically input either of the rhythm and the pitch of the motif melody. A display device displays the inputted the motif melody in a sequence of beat points for editing.

摘要: The musical tone generating apparatus converts a movement of a man into a musical tone. Such movement of the man includes a walking or running movement, a jumping movement, a rubbing movement and a beating movement, a turning movement and the like. More specifically, a tone pitch, a tone color, a tone volume or other parameters of the musical tone to be generated is controlled based on a value of a moving speed, a value of a jumping height or a value of frictional heat produced by the rubbing movement of player's hands.

摘要: A musical tone control apparatus controls a musical tone corresponding to a movement itself of an object and the like which is detected by a detector Such detector detects also a moving speed, a moving force, a moving angle or an intensity of given impulse of the object. In the case where the detector is mounted in the vicinity of a player's joint, the detector detects a revolving or bending angle of the player's joint. Hence, the musical tone can be controlled based on such angle of the player's joint. Thus, through this musical tone control apparatus, the player can generate a musical tone having, for example, a desirable tone pitch, a desirable volume and a desirable tone color based on the movement of the object or the player's joint.

摘要: Processor devices functioning as tone-generation-related processing elements, such as a keyboard, tone generator and speaker, are connected to a star-type network. Desired processing elements are logically connected (e.g., a keyboard is logically connected to the input side of the tone generator and a speaker is connected to the output side of the tone generator) in an internal network, so that a tone generation system can be built. Each processor device possesses a content file, and each of the processor devices has a table storing, for each of the processor devices, information indicating whether the content file possessed thereby can be supplied. If a particular one of the processor devices does not possess a content file to be used, the particular processor device extracts, from the table, another processor device capable of supplying the content file to be used and receives the content file from the extracted processor device.

摘要: Automatic composition apparatus and method are provided which are capable of modifying a rhythm pattern to provide a wide variety of rhythm patterns only through simple setting, and a storage medium that accomplishes this function is provided. Characteristics of a rhythm pattern of a piece of music to be composed are established. Characteristic data that match the established characteristics are retrieved from a rhythm pattern database rhythm pattern database comprising a plurality of rhythm patterns and characteristic data indicating characteristics of each of the rhythm patterns. One of the rhythm patterns is selected, that corresponds to the retrieved characteristic data. Accordingly, different rhythm patterns having the same characteristics can be easily obtained. Further, composition conditions to be applied to a whole piece of music to be composed are established, and the established composition conditions are allocated to each of sectional elements that constitute the piece of music, for example, a passage, a phrase, or a measure, and the composition conditions for the whole piece of music, in other words, distributed among the respective passages, phrases or measures. Therefore, a rhythm pattern having different characteristics may be obtained by changing only the characteristics of the whole piece of music, thus assuring an improved efficiency with which the user operates the apparatus.

摘要: A performance-information analyzing apparatus, which is employed by an electronic musical instrument, is provided to analyze performance information which represents at least a pitch and a key-on timing with respect to each sound to be produced. A note length is calculated on the basis of a key-on interval representative of a time interval between two key-on timings. One note length, whose frequency of occurrence is relatively high, is selected from among a plurality of note lengths sequentially calculated with respect to a plurality of sounds to be produced. A pair of time and location of bar-line is automatically determined in accordance with a predetermined condition on the basis of the note length selected. The selection for the note length can be made under the consideration of the number of the notes which have the same pitch and which indicate a continuous sound to be described between two measures across the bar-line in the score. Thus, the score is formed by the performance information and the pair of time and location of bar-line and is visually displayed for the user, wherein the continuous sound is described by two or more notes with a tie between two measures across the bar-line.

摘要: An electronic musical instrument includes a tone generator, a manipulator for defining a manipulation region and for performing manipulation within the manipulation region. The manipulator has a first detector which detects serial position data on the basis of positions of performance manipulation within the manipulation region, and a second detector which generates changing-degree data of a locus which is constituted by the serial position data. The tone generator generates musical tone with effect in accordance with the changing-degree data to thereby impart various effect such as vibrato with ease.
