摘要: An image display apparatus is disclosed which includes: an optical system including a light source and at least one projection lens; a display means for forming a display image, the display means including a non-luminescent display panel and a microlens array disposed on the light-incidence side of the display panel; and at least one projection lens for projecting the display image; wherein the display panel and the microlens array are combined with each other by means of an adhesive made of a transparent material. In cases where the microlens array is provided with color filters which are arranged so as to correspond to the microlenses of this array, the image display apparatus can provide a bright display of color images with an improved contrast. Moreover, when the display panel and the microlens array are combined with each other by means of an adhesive containing spacers, the image display apparatus has a high thermal reliability.

摘要: A photoelectric conversion device is composed of a first electrode and a second electrode, at least one of the electrodes being transparent; and a first organic material layer and a second organic material layer, which are overlaid between the first electrode and the second electrode in such a junction relationship that the first organic material layer and the second organic material layer constitute a rectifying junction, the first electrode and the first organic material layer constitute an ohmic junction, and when the first electrode comes into contact with the second organic material layer, the first electrode and the second organic material layer constitutes a rectifying junction, and the second electrode and the second organic material layer constitute an ohmic junction, and when the second electrode comes into contact with the first organic material layer, the second electrode and the first organic material layer constitute a rectifying junction. This photoelectric conversion device may further include an inorganic semiconductor layer between the first or second electrode and the first or second organic material layer when the inorganic semiconductor layer has the same juncition relashionship with respect to the first or second electrode as mentioned above.

摘要: Corrosion-resistant rare earth magnets and a method for their manufacture, said magnets containing at least one rare earth element in an amount of 5 to 40 weight %, Fe in an amount of 50 to 90 weight %, Co in an amount of 0 to 15 wt %, B in an amount of 0.2 to 8 weight %, and at least one additive selected from Ni, Nb, Al, Ti, Zr, Cr, V, Mn, Mo, Si, Sn, Ga, Cu, and Zn in an amount of 0 to 8 weight %. The method comprises the steps of: (i) pretreating the surfaces of the magnet after sintering it; (ii) activating the surfaces thereof; and (iii) coating the surfaces thereof with at least one layer of Ni-containing film by electroplating. The activating may be carried out by treating the surfaces with a soap or a surface active agent. The activated surfaces may be subjected to ultrasonic vibrations in water to remove foreign substances before electroplating.
