摘要: A method for producing a coffee aroma component is disclosed, which comprises the steps of feeding an aqueous solution containing from 10 to 80% by weight of ethanol and an inert gas into roasted and milled coffee beans heated to 80.degree. to 20.degree. C., contacting the mixture with the coffee beans, and then condensing and collecting a volatile aroma component evolving from the coffee beans. According to the present invention, the preferable aroma of fresh milled coffee beans after roasted can be perfectly collected. Further, the method of the present invention requires neither any complicated apparatus nor any special conditions. Namely, this method can be easily and inexpensively embodied. Further, it is an advantageous method from an industrial viewpoint. The coffee aroma component obtained by the method of the present invention suffers from little change in aroma during the processing and over prolonged storage. When added to coffee, coffee drinks, other foods and luxury foods, therefore, this coffee aroma component can improve and enrich the qualities of the aroma. Thus it is highly expected that the commercial values of these products can be elevated thereby.

摘要: A resinous composition for fragrant substances is provided which comprises an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer containing from about 5% to about 35% of vinyl acetate monomer, by weight, and a diffusing agent selected from the group consisting of benzyl benzoate, benzyl salicylate, and di-(lower alkyl)phthalates, and mixtures thereof. The diffusing agent is absorbed in the copolymer. When fragrant substances are enclosed in a container made from the resinous composition of the present invention or the composition of the present invention is impregnated with such fragrant substances, a well-balanced, mild fragrance, inherent to the fragrant substance employed, is uniformly released over a long period of time.

摘要: An information recording medium conveyer is provided, which provides countermeasures against power interruptions with high reliability. When a power interruption occurs during a loading operation with a conveying roller, the first unloading operation is initiated. When the outputs from detection sensors satisfy a predetermined condition during the first unloading operation, the process is initialized to cause the conveying roller to initiate a re-loading operation, thereby loading an information recording medium into a tray. On the other hand, when the outputs from the detection sensors do not change in accordance with a predetermined sequence during the re-loading operation, the process initiates the second unloading operation. When the detection sensors have detected the information recording medium during the second unloading operation and then the outputs from the detection sensors satisfy the predetermined condition, the process is initialized to cause the conveying roller to initiate another loading operation, thereby loading the information recording medium into the tray. Even when a power interruption occurs during an unloading operation, the same processing is performed to eject the information recording medium.

摘要: A carbon nanotube (CNT) is provided having micropores with a diameter of 1 to 10 nm in the side wall and in turn, having a large specific surface area. A production method of a surface-modified CNT (DMWCNT), comprises heating CNT having supported on the surface thereof a metal oxide or metal nitrate fine particle at a temperature of 100 to 1000° C., such as, 200 to 500° C., in an atmosphere containing oxygen. A cyclical solid phase oxidation-reduction reaction between the metal oxide and CNT occurs on the surface of the metal oxide fine particle supported on CNT, and carbon of CNT is oxidized to open a micropore. The metal oxide is preferably cobalt oxide, and the metal nitrate is preferably cobalt nitrate.

摘要: An electronic device mounted on a circuit board and accommodated in a housing includes a heat source element accommodated in the housing and mounted on the circuit board, and a heat conducting member accommodated in the housing. The heat conducting member is movably mounted on the circuit board. An elastic member fixes the heat source element and the heat conducting member in abutment with each other. The elasticity of the elastic member permits variations in the relative positions of the heat source element and the heat conducting member while maintaining the abutment of the heat source element and the heat conducting member.
