摘要: A wet friction member contains a pulverized cork heated to 150-200° C. if necessary. The pulverized cork is mixed with other papermaking materials and formed into a paper-made substrate. The paper-made substrate is impregnated with a synthetic resin to be a binder and heated and cured. The cork itself has a high friction coefficient μ. Moreover, a powder thereof increases surface area and area in contact with a separator plate of a counter member, thereby improving a friction coefficient of a friction surface of the wet friction member. The friction coefficient of the cork itself and capacities for absorbing and discharging oil are improved by heating the cork. Thus, there is provided a wet friction member that has a higher friction coefficient μ. An increase in the friction coefficient μ, weight reduction by reducing the number of friction members, and high efficiency are achieved when used as a wet friction member.

摘要: A frictional engaging device and frictional engagement control method, wherein the phenomenon of the frictional coefficient of the friction surfaces of a friction engagement device being changed when an electric field is applied to the friction surfaces, is utilized to control the transmittal force. Under the action of a pushing force, friction engagement members are brought into direct contact with each other for frictional engagement. When an electric field is applied between the frictional engagement members, the frictional coefficient of the friction surfaces changes, which means that the transmittal force can be changed. An example of the frictional engagement device is a clutch device (10). A friction member (20) made of insulation material is attached to an input disk (16) and engages an output disk (22). The friction surfaces are lubricated. A control device (30) controls a voltage applying device (28) and applies a voltage to an electrode (26) to provide a desired transmittal force.

摘要: A wet type friction material of a layered construction is disclosed, in which at least two layers are laminated, one of the two layers being a friction-surface layer disposed on a friction-surface side, the other one thereof being a base layer disposed on a fixed side, wherein the entire friction material exhibiting a Young's modulus of Et, the base layer exhibiting a Young's modulus of Eb, and the Et and the Eb satisfying a relationship of Eb/Et

摘要: [Problems]To provide a wet paper friction member which has high torque capacity and excellent thermal stability simultaneously. [Solution Means]A wet paper friction member is produced by impregnating thermosetting resin into a paper body; curing it with heat; and then forming it with pressure. A fiber base material comprises 20-80 wt % of the paper body and comprises cellulose pulp, aramid pulp, and homopolymer acrylic pulp the drainability of which is adjusted to 120-280 ml, and thermosetting resin such as straight phenol resin, alkyl modified phenol resin, epoxy modified phenol resin, tung oil modified phenol resin, cashew oil modified phenol resin, tung oil/cashew modified phenol resin is impregnated at 20-40 wt %, and thereby, high torque capacity and heat resistance, and mechanical strength are realized simultaneously.

摘要: A friction material exhibiting a great coefficient of friction, as compared to that of the conventional friction material, which is produced with the use of an organic paper-like substrate. The friction material is composed of the paper-like substrate of a fibrous material, and an inorganic binder with which said substrate is impregnated. When friction is produced, the inorganic binder exhibits friction characteristics so that a great coefficient of friction can be effected, as compared to the cases organic binders such as phenol resin are used.
