    摘要: A packet switching system arbitrates between Virtual Output Queues (VoQ) in plural input buffers, so as to grant the right of transmitting data to a crossbar switch to some of the VoQs by taking both an output data interval of a VoQ and the queue length of a VoQ as parameters. The system suppresses the delay time of the segment of a VoQ having a high load, thereby preventing buffers from overflowing; and, also, the system permits a VoQ having a low load to transmit segments under no influence of the VoQ that has a high load and is just reading out the segment.

    摘要: A Packet communication system has a first line interface; a second line interface that accommodates lines slower than lines accommodated by the first line interface; a crossbar switch; and a scheduler that periodically receives packet output requests from the first and second line interfaces and sends grants based on the requests for the crossbar switch to the first and second line interfaces. The link capacity between the first line interface and the crossbar switch is made higher than that between the second line interface and the crossbar switch, whereby a packet communication system capable of accommodating line interfaces with different speeds efficiently can be provided.

    摘要: A traffic shaper comprises a bandwidth controller 40 having a plurality of leaky bucket units 41-1 to 41-n prepared in correspondence with buffer memories 20-1 to 20-n, and an output queue designation unit 43 for specifying a buffer memory from which a packet is to be read out. Each of the leaky bucket units 41 has a level counter 416 for decrementing the count value at a predetermined rate, and a level increaser 411 to 417 for increasing the count value of the level counter by a value proportional to the product of the length of a transmitted packet and a unitary increment value which is variable depend on the current count value of the level counter.

    摘要: There is provided a sensor node management method in which a user is unconscious of a service break even when a sensor mode has failed among a plurality of sensor nodes assuming intermittent operation. Moreover, it is possible to provide a flexible sensor node management method capable of freely modifying the observation grading (space, time) in accordance with a user's desire. A base station (30) for containing a plurality of intermittently operating sensor modes includes a sensor management table (4) for managing the sensor nodes, a group management table (5) for grouping a plurality of sensor nodes, and an operation timing control unit (3). The operation timing control unit (3) decides the operation interval and the relationship for starting each of the sensor nodes. Moreover, the base station and the sensor node have a counter value as a reference of the sensor node operation interval and the operation start phase, which are periodically synchronized.

    摘要: In an organization dynamics analysis service using a sensor, organization dynamics information is understandably provided to a lot of members on a customer side without receiving private information such as an individual name from the customer. Therefore, a sensor data associated with an ID is received from the customer site, and organization analysis is performed on a service provider side, and then, an organization analysis data based on the ID is fed back to the customer site. When the customer browses the organization analysis data, the ID is converted into the private information in a service gateway installed on the customer site in accordance with a conversion table for correspondence of the ID previously specified on the customer side and the private information (individual name), and is shown to the customer as the understandable information.

    摘要: Face-to-face detection by infrared-ray communication is effective in grasping interaction between persons. However the problem here is that infrared rays have a high directivity and detection fails unless the persons face each other right in front. Sensor signals having a high directivity and sensor signals having a low directivity are obtained from a sensor terminal (TR) carried by a person. Firstly, information on relative position is obtained with a sensor (TRIR) of infrared rays or the like having a high directivity and an initial group is formed at an application server (AS). A feature amount such as sound that has a low directivity and can sense surrounding environmental information is extracted from among the terminals (TRs) belonging to the initial group by personal feature extraction (ASIF), correlation with terminals (TRs) not belonging to a group is obtained, and thereby whether or not those terminals (TRs) belong to an identical group is judged.
