    摘要: A gear set is provided for use in a gearbox. The gear set includes a first bevel gear having a first rotational axis and a second bevel gear having a second rotational axis. The second gear is driven by the first gear. The first gear has an outside diameter of about 3.1956 inches, an outer cone distance of about 2.1044 inches, a face width of about 0.62 inches, and a ratio of the outside diameter to a length parallel to the axis of rotation between the crown and the pitch apex of about 1.83. The second gear has an outside diameter of about 2.8337 inches, an outer cone distance of about 2.1044 inches, a face width of about 0.62 inches, and a ratio of the outside diameter to a length parallel to the axis of rotation between the crown and the pitch apex of about 2.33.

The X-coordinate is the tangential direction, the Y-coordinate is the axial direction, and the Z-coordinate is a radial direction between an airfoil root and an airfoil tip.

The base and elongate member have a substantially hollow interior extending from a first end to a second end, so as to form a shell. A collector element is positioned within the hollow interior. The collector element has a magnetic element positioned adjacent the second end and a flange positioned near the first end. The collector element is configured to move between a first position and a second position to selectively demagnetize the chip collector body. An axial biasing member is positioned between the flange of the collector element and a rigid surface. The axial biasing member is configured to bias the collector element into the first position.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing a gear cluster from a first gear body and a second gear body comprises producing a first set of gear teeth on the first gear body such that each tooth on the first set of gear teeth has a first pitch point. The second gear body is axially aligned with the first gear body. A timing position for a second set of gear teeth on the second gear body is determined by dimensioning from the first set of gear teeth. A second set of gear teeth on the second gear body is produced based on the timing position and each tooth on the second set of gear teeth has a second pitch point. The gear cluster is inspected for timing position by measuring a reference dimension between the first pitch point and the second pitch point.
