摘要: A method of skinning an application with content includes receiving, by a client device from a content provider over a data network, a replacement asset associated with a tag specifying an event type, and displaying, by a graphical user interface of the client device, an initial asset of an application executed by the client device. The method further includes determining, by a hooking component of the client device, that an event corresponding to the event type occurred during execution of the application, and selecting, by the hooking component, the replacement asset associated with the tag specifying the event type, responsive to the determination that the event corresponding to the event type occurred. The method yet further includes replacing, by the client device, the initial asset with the selected replacement asset for display by the graphical user interface, responsive to the determination that the event corresponding to the event type occurred.

摘要: In some instances, an image may have dimensions that do not correspond to a slot to display the image. For example, an image content item may have dimensions that do not correspond to a content item slot. The image may be resized using seam carving to add or remove pixels of the image. A saliency map for the image may be used having saliency scores for each pixel of the image. Evaluation metrics may be used before, during, and after, seam carving to determine whether salient content is affected by the seam carving. In some instances, a seam cost threshold value may be used for adaptive step size during the seam carving. The resized image may then be outputted, such as for an image content item to be served with a resource.

摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided for information presentation. In one implementation, a method is provided. The method includes generating a message, identifying suggested content to be included with the message, suggesting one or more of the suggested content items to a user, receiving a user input with respect to the one or more suggested content items, and sending the message according to the user input including one or more selected content items of the one or more suggested content items.

摘要: Advertiser repository information (e.g., a list of HTML pages) may be used to automatically generate a page-ad and associated ad information for each page using a subset of features of the page. Subsequently, a page-ad index for all pages from different advertisers may be created. After creating a page-ad index, if a client issues a query (e.g., from a search engine), candidate page-ads may be selected using the page-ads index. If necessary (e.g., if there are more candidate page-ads than requested ads), the candidate page-ads may be entered into an arbitration (e.g., auction). Then, the arbitration may determine a set of one or more winning page-ads to be served for rendering.

摘要: Systems and techniques for converting numeric queries into substantially equivalent textual queries are described. In general, the systems and techniques discussed use search query logs to accurately select a most probably mapping for a numeric-to-text conversion. This mapping can occur when a system (e.g., a server-side search system) receives a series of numeric inputs (e.g., from a cell phone keypad) that may correspond to more than one word. For example, a search server may receive input 22737, which corresponds to both the words ACRES and CASES, as part of a query. The server uses current entries in query logs to create mappings for words from the numeric input. If recent queries indicate that the term ACRES is currently more popular than the term CASES, the mapping may match the entry 22737 to the text ACRES.

摘要: A first content entity and one or more associated second content entities are presented to one or more arbiters. Arbiter determinations relating to the association of at least one of the second content entities with the first content entity are received. A determination as to whether the at least one of the second content entities is to be disassociated from the first content entity based on the arbiter determinations can be made.
