An apparatus for on card cleaning and grinding of revolving flats (4) in a carding machine is disclosed. The apparatus mounts an interchangeable rotary cleaning brush (14) or grinding wheel (16) on a wheel drive (11) so that the wheel can be spun around an axis lateral to the path of the revolving flats (4). During a carding operation the height of the cleaning brush (14) is accurately adjusted by a precision feeding mechanism so that the brush cleans down to the surface of the revolving flats of the revolving flats (4) and so cleans and polishes the wires (4b) and the fouling which commonly accumulates beneath the points (4c) of the wires. The brush (14) can readily be replaced by a grinding wheel with a peripheral grinding surface. The height of the grinding wheel can be accurately set by the use of the precision feeding mechanism so that the wires are reground while still on the card by driving the revolving flats (4) around the path and simultaneously spinning the grinding wheel and traversing the wheel laterally across the bare flats. The combined motions of the wheel and the flats result in a regrinding of the points which closely resembles the optimum regrinding pattern.

Audio content may be selected based on sleep states, such as sleep preparation, being asleep or sleeping, wakefulness, and the like. Audio content may be selected to facilitate sleep onset, sleep continuity, sleep awakening, and the like. Audio content may include white noise, noise cancellation, stating a user's name, presenting another message such as a recommendation, the news, or a user's schedule, a song or piece of music, and the like, and may be stored as a file, generated dynamically, and the like.

Disclosed are techniques for receiving data representing a target physiological rate, selecting a subset of files having data representing media contents to be presented based on the target physiological rate, processing sensor data received from one or more sensors to determine a difference from the target physiological rate, and modifying a presentation of the subset of files based on the difference. Embodiments relate generally to electrical and electronic hardware, computer software, wired and wireless network communications, and media devices or wearable/mobile computing devices configured to facilitate presentation of content in a summarized form. More specifically, disclosed are systems, devices and methods to encapsulate or summarize a pool of content, such as music or audio tracks, in digest form. In some embodiments, a method may include identifying a pool of content as a function of a subset of parameters, selecting a subset of content from the pool based on one or more of the parameters to compile data representing encapsulated content, and forming data representing a digest of the pool of content including the compiled encapsulated content. Further, the method may include presenting the data representing the digest of the pool of content.
