    摘要: A construction system is disclosed utilizing prefabricated panels which can be assembled in a contiguous, aligned relationship to form a construction section. In one form of the system, the individual panels may include a structural core with a flexible membrane covering, and include an edge portion adapted to engage the edge portion of the next adjacent panel to provide a substantially continuous seal between panels. The edge portions are sealable by fasteners which may be in the form of interlocking male and female members proportioned so that when joined the male members of one fastener will wipe along the inside walls of the fastener to which it is being connected to clean dirt from these walls and push the dirt into one or more dirt cavities formed when the fasteners are joined. Multiple areas of intense contact are also provided between the mating members of the fasteners to provide an effective watertight seal. The fasteners may be pre-shaped during manufacture to increase the pressure along the areas of intense contact after joining.Also, a distinctive indicator, such as a color stripe along one or more of the ribs of each of the fasteners, may be provided which is visible during installation of the system when adjacent interlocking fasteners have not been fully engaged, and substantially hidden when the fasteners are so engaged by the coacting flaps on the fasteners.A complete system and apparatus used therein, and a method of utilizing said apparatus, is also disclosed for manufacturing the fasteners, pre-shaping them, and bonding them to the flexible membrane panels in accordance with this invention.

In one aspect, a data set of spring rate reductions corresponding to bridge sets removed is predetermined and used with the corresponding type of load beam to determine the bridges to remove to approximate the target spring rate.

    摘要: A load beam of a suspension assembly has one or more longitudinal channels in the rigid region between the side edges. The load beam blank (from which the load beam itself is constructed) has a relief means, such as a channel-compensating gap extending through the actuator mounting region from the proximal end to provide additional width of sheet material to the rigid region of the load beam blank and to enable the formation of these longitudinal channels. A method for manufacturing a load beam of a suspension assembly from a generally planar sheet of resilient spring material is described. A load beam blank is shaped to include an actuator mounting region on the distal end, and a rigid region between the actuator mounting region and the distal end. A relief means, such as a channel-compensating gap extends through the actuator mounting region from the proximal end. At least one channel is constructed in the rigid region. The channel preferably extends between the gap and the distal end of the load beam and thereby reduces the width of the gap in the blank.

    摘要: A prefabricated panel system which can be erected to form a watertight surface suitable for use as the roof or wall of a building is disclosed. Each panel of the system includes a structural portion having a flexible membrane covering, a foam center member, a corrugated metal panel extending beyond the foam center and the surface of the panel assembly, and elongated, flexible fastener halves disposed along each edge of the flexible membrane. The panels are assembled together in edge-to-edge relationship with the fastener halves engaged to provide a continuous waterproof membrane extending across the joint between adjacent panels. Interstitial regions defined by the junction of adjoining panels are sealed to complete the waterproof membrane. This seal is provided by a viscous adhesive sealing material which is caused to flow into the interstitial regions by compressive means.
