    摘要： Methods and devices for providing a biopsy device with a modified handle and stylet that provides a vacuum to be delivered to the targeted tissue for removal. The vacuum may draw the tissue into the notch where the tissue may then be severed via the cannula. Alternatively, the tissue may be drawn into to the notch after being severed via the stylet and/or cannula. The vacuum may be used to bring a larger amount of tissue into the notch than would otherwise be brought in the notch if no vacuum was used, providing a larger sample through the same size access point.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for introducing material into an injection site of a patient is disclosed. The device includes a cannula and a carrier. The cannula is inserted into an injection site of a patient. The carrier is connected to an injector containing a volume of material. Material may be pre-loaded into the carrier so that the material is delivered to a distal end of the carrier from the injector and the carrier is thus pre-loaded with material. A portion of the distal end of the pre-loaded carrier is inserted into the cannula and material is delivered to an injection site.

    摘要： A luer activated device includes an inlet adapted to receive a male luer, an outlet associable with a fluid flow system, and a flow path defined therebetween. The inlet receives a resealable valve element having a aperture adapted to receive the male luer. The valve element is compressible, such that a male luer inserted into the aperture will cause the valve element to primarily compress, rather than stretching and deforming. One end of the aperture may include a pressure activated flow passage, which is adapted to open upon fluid flow through a male luer received by the aperture. Methods of using such luer activated devices are also provided.

    摘要： A device and method is provided to gain access to interior body regions. The system includes a safety needle assembly, a blade assembly, an obturator assembly, and a dilator assembly. The safety needle assembly accesses an interior body region, after which the blade assembly expands the pathway created by the safety needle assembly. The obturator then further expands the pathway and delivers the dilator assembly to the desired location. The safety needle assembly, obturator assembly, and blade assembly are removed, leaving the dilator assembly in place for future procedures.
